12 states implementing Obamaare -all report a minimum of 20% savings in current rates, with New York to see a 53% decrease in premium costs next year.

The GOP can bitch all they want - the facts say it will in fact save money.

The fact that many employers, the retailers and restaurant sector have reduced employees to part time status or 30 hours a week is proof that Obama Care has hurt workers. Employees still have rent, utilities and car to pay for.

The retail industry in particular has been notorious for not hiring fulltime and/or limiting hours to prevent overtime pay AND not have to pay benefits. Many states and companies have laws/policies which state if you work so many weeks in a row at 40 hours a week even though part-time you must be made fulltime. The biggest hiring sectors in the economy are the ones cutting hours and taking money out the employee hands.

Obama Care is an INSURANCE bill, not a health care bill.

Hiring people part-time to avoid paying benefits is nothing new. If what you say is true then more part-time jobs are being created to get the work done. People are now used to having four or five part-time jobs. Having six won't make a difference. The difference NOW is that these people will be able to buy their own health insurance at a cheaper rate with the exchanges and NOW the insurance companies are REGULATED to treat their customers more humanely.

I don't understand all the resistance to the Heritage Foundation's OBAMNEYCARE. The GOP invented the law. Democrats wanted social medicine. Republicans should be proud that they got their way. Now they can compete with countries that sponsor social medicine at a fraction of the costs in the US.

Crocodile tears! It's no wonder Congress has a 12% approval rating. All they do is continually try to repeal OBAMNEYCARE and FAIL. They're just enjoying their government paychecks from our tax dollars and doing nothing.

DO NOT allow Leon Harrison of Dayton, OH fool you into that that ObamaCare should be nixed because of co-worker strain! If you are going to hate ObamaCare, do it because of the overall cost. DO NOT forget that Obama stole the entire concept of ObamaCare from Mitt Romney's Massachusetts policies.

If we continue to increase federal and state subsidies, we can get the costs even lower.

The dog and pony show continues about the law that was passed and can't be defunded:

Sen. Tom Coburn continued his criticism of a faction of his party that wants to shut down the government in order to defund Obamacare, saying they’re employing a wrong strategy that won’t work.

Coburn: "You have 11 Republican senators out of 46: That means 35 don’t agree with the strategy."

if it's so great then why are all the federal employees screeching and whining they don't want it ? why did odumbo tell his employees that uncle sam will pick up 75% of all healthcare costs for just gubbmint employees ? hardly ab indicator of a great plan.

The Orange Man (Boehner) said on the Sunday shows Congress “ought to be judged on how many laws we repeal.”

Well Johnny, you've repealed NONE.
Your Congress has done NOTHING.

Come Nov.'14 & '16
You will be Judged.

Here it is:

President Obama is going to FIX Obamacare so that Congress and Congressional WORKERS are EXEMPT from Obamacare.

They did NOT want it!

POLITICO-left leaning-has the article!

Plus, embarrassingly, the current IRS chief, Danny Werfel, just stated that HE DOESN'T want to go on ObamaCare!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/08/01/ir...

Yep, the masses, meaning the REST OF US- get ObamaCare and the elected officials and their staff get to OPT OUT of OBAMACARE.

What thehell has happened to the electorate of this country?

How easily swayed are they?

When ELECTED LEADERS EXEMPT themselves from healthcare and other laws of the land, then something is VERY WRONG with the healthcare and those laws.

You better educate your children to think INdependently and to APPLY the information they have attained to future action.

Our educational system has FAILED us

and

Americans are EASILY FOOLED into accepting what their officials say.

Really can't wait till electrical system goes out and people get off their addiction to 'shaped' news and information given out by the 'news' media and fed to us by the government.

Go ahead sun flares, disrupt the means of our information. This would certainly allow for the masses to get a break from the manufactured news and allow a cleansing of the psyche.

Because we are all puppets to our rulers.

We are still in the Middle Ages. We're serfs and our masters, our lords and shamefully our elected officials, are feathering THEIR NESTS, enjoying THEIR PERKS, while penalizing, chastising and depriving us of OUR FREEDOMS and the chance to advance.

Hmmm, wonder if those Harvard, Yale, and other elite college professors and graduates are going on ObamaCare?

Ask your representative if she/he will be joining the ObamaCare exchange.

It's called MORONCARE now because Obama is a moron.
Creepocrats are all dumbed down if you ask me, starting with Odumba.
These are scare tactics - being used by a republican insurance commissioner in GA - who was against the very thought from the start.

Funny how 12 states have shown significant cost savings - well, not that surprising - states showing savings are blue states, that pay the overwhelming majority in taxes to subsidize YOUR state idiot - and every red state bitching about it!

Part-timing will be and already is a BIG problem. The people working multiple jobs already are working paycheck to paycheck and even a 200-300 dollars a month INSURANCE will strain budgets.

The only reason Romney Care has lasted this long in Massachusetts is that it is basically a gentrafied state with some of the highest state tax rates in the NATION(5% flat tax and 12% capital gains). The 60 some odd page Romney Care bill has already been modified including modifying state medical care law allowing nurses and physician assistants to do many of the things DOCTORS used to do.

Obama Care did little or nothing to reduce medical CARE COSTS. It is an INSURANCE bill. You either go full blown single payer system or do something to control costs. You don't throw money at over priced system to fix it.

I see you've fallen again for the government "savings" shell game.

If premiums were expected to go up 100% but instead only go up 82%, Washington touts that as an 18% savings.

But wait, you're still paying 82% more.

So paying 82% more is really saving 18%?

Market Competition Works: Proposed Silver Premiums in the 2014 Individual and Small
Group Markets Are Nearly 20% Lower than Expected"
http://aspe.hhs.gov/health/reports/2013/Marke...

Read it yourself. No where does it say you'll pay less than now, just not as much as initial projections.

Now wait a sec.... back in 2008 Obama was touting a $2500 savings in your health insurance premiums, but in 2012, he morphed that into 'reduce the increase in health insurance costs'.

Didn't catch that, did you?

No surprise.

See my previous post.

Why don't you take your 18% savings down to the Piggly Wiggly and tell me how many pork rinds you bought?

You needn't wait for implementation in your state either. The "savings" will be the same as today.
