We're ahead of you in exports, ahead of you in job creation, ahead of you in education so I guess that makes you lower than idiots?
However, I read where you lead the nation in welfare recipients. Isn't that special?

Mr. Potatohead Brown still calling for more taxes to pay your massive debt.
That's reality, you dumbass.
You're ahead in low paying jobs created dummy;

"Texas, however, still faces many challenges on the jobs front. Many of the positions that have been created are on the lower end of the pay scale. Some 550,000 workers last year were paid at or below the federal minimum wage of $7.25, more than double the number making those wages in 2008, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That's 9.5% of Texas' hourly workforce, which gives it the highest percentage of minimum-wage hourly workers in the nation -- a dubious title it shares with Mississippi.

"We have created jobs, but they are not jobs with good wages and benefits," said F. Scott McCown, executive director, Center for Public Policy Priorities, which advocates for low-income residents"

Now, let's go to education - the state creating more morons than most other states in this country;

"Texas is #49 in verbal SAT scores in the nation (493) and #46 in average math SAT scores (502).
Texas is #36 in the nation in high school graduation rates (68%).
Texas is #33 in the nation in teacher salaries. Teacher salaries in Texas are not keeping pace with the national average. The gains realized from the last state-funded across-the-board pay raise authorized in 1999, which moved the ranking from 33 to as high as 26th in the nation, have disappeared over the last five years.
Texas was the only state in the nation to cut average per pupil expenditures in fiscal year 2005, resulting in a ranking of #40 nationally; down from #25 in fiscal year 1999."

Excellent post, Texas is creating a State full of low earning Workers who earn just enough they are forced to rely on the Federal Dole.

The wages of Texans qualify more than half of the working citizens to receive Federal Aid in terms of Income Credits, and Credits for Children they have but can not afford to get huge income tax returns when in reality they don't pay any income taxes.

Texas like all the other Southern States with low wages take more from the government in terms of aid to supplement their citizens incomes than we actually collect in income taxes from the work force in the Southern Region of America.

Yet, Texans are the first to talk about their rugged individualism and criticize often federal aid programs when they themselves are depend on federal aid to supplement their earning from those pitiful paying jobs there in Texas and abound in neighboring States.

Absolutely correct! That's why the POS that was attempting to illuminate how great Texas is won't come back - HIS OWN STATE RUN WEB SITE CONFIMS EVERYTHING I'VE STATED!

Gotta love how Perry criticizes bailouts - yet was the first one to get on line, balance his budget using federal money, and kept 9.1 billion of TARP money in escrow;
