When he played guitar for “The Time” Prince watched him, Prince watched him very closely and Prince took notes.

Hendrix ftw. No one can touch him...ever...even Prince and Clapton who are both bad ass...not that I'm an authority.
For me, the intro to "One" is my fave because it's so haunting, the vid sucks and is beyond sad. It's just beautiful and one of the few solos that I instantly recognize.
I'm not really familiar with a lot of Black guitarists- but will check out some of the names I see here because I love music and guitarists. Of course I'm familiar with Hendrix and he was very innovative.

I thought Stevie Ray Vaughan was pretty talented in his own way.

Well, that's cool...as long as your open. They're worth checking out. It's the same music as any other.

Yeah, I love music too. Growing up, my mom encouraged me to be open minded toward different things. Guess that's where my love of different types of music comes from. Actually, I had never heard Hendrix play until I saw a PBS special. Lol. I was like "whoa". Haha.
