i agree with both sides. the kid can jam better than most kids his age. but at the same time it does seem the parents are pimping their son out for profit. the kid has alot of potential and i hope he goes far. but i've seen the kid play, and it's seriously nothing to have this much hype over. and 'the invention' supposedly invented by this kid also sounds like another attempt from the parents to make a buck off of their kid's name. all it is is white out in a drum shaped bottle. seriously just because your kid stains your shirt and tries to hide it with white out doesn't make it an invention. kids do this kind of stuff all the time. and before everyone crucifies me for what i just said, read it again and see i'm not bashing the kid at all. i'm just making a damn statement.

I am not a musician but it doesn't take a musician to know that Joe Chila is one of the most loving, honorable men I know and I have known him all of my life. Anyone can say what they want but those of us who know him know he is a fine man with great intergety.

I've had the opportunity to meet the son & the father. I've also had a chance to work with Julian. Regardless of the father's past, the point is if the child has talent, shouldn't that be nurtured, and if the world is going to pay money because they believe in this child's talent, shouldn't the parents oversee the financial aspect?
I'm a musician and now that I'm older, I totally appreciate the time, energy and money that my parents put into my career. I also appreciate nurturing any child's talent. Who he's better than or not, is sooooo not the issue.
Let it go.
