Guthrie Center given state grant

A rustic folk music mecca will get some overdue building upgrades, thanks to a grant from Massachusetts Cultural Council.

The Gutherie Center has some potential bringing in visitors to the beautiful Berkshires. Not many today recall the fun of the film "Alice's Restaurant" ( I am in the movie as a Recuriting Sgt.) Director Arthur Penn did a great job of catching the life style of the Flower Folks.

Feasability studies are the latest scam cooked up by someone in the state in Dalton it seems that they cant even change a light bulb without a feasibility study. Between the Police CHief search. Library/senion center, communicatinos center, town hall projects they have spent almost a million dollars on studies. THe only people getting rich are the Mass municipal association, Hill Engineering and Barry Architects. Oh and the
MMA outfits are loaded with former and current town managers and police chiefs.
