But even Greek intellectuals admit that only 55% of Macedonia is in Greece, therefore 45% of Macedonia... isn't.
In addition, does this mean that a portion of Bulgarians, in the Pirin region, are too Greek.? And that the entire population of your northern neighbour are Greek as well..? Not to mention the few hundred souls who live in Albanian Macedonia.
Intellectuals aside, your government suggests that Greece is an ethnically pure state (only Greeks). Now, either they are not telling the truth, or you are not. Either you are Greek, and renounce your claim to being Macedonian nationals, or you are Macedonian and therefore break Greek law by not being Greek, yet residing there.
What is it to be..?
You see, the rest of the world by and large adopted the principle of multi-culturalism, a concept that Greek politics and national identity has yet to embrace.
And if you are unsure of who you yourself really are, then why should the world listen to your opinions of how others should behave?
Once multi-culturalism has been accepted and good neighbourly relations established between Greece and all her neighbours, then it is difficult to accept the protestations from Greece about how individual neighbours should behave.
Be aware and i say this for EVERYBODY, those "intellectuals" you are talking about are leftists inreality with no extensive influence to Greek Society and sometime we should held them accountable for their disgraceful stasis. It's just a matter of time.

This is a lie.

About 85% of historic Macedonia is in Greece after the will and the blood og Macedonians. The other 15%(Pelagonia) 9s occupied by FYROM.

Skopje never was in Macedonia. Skopje was Dardanian capital and Veles Peonian one.

Dear ethnic SlavoSkopians be proud of your Peonian and Dardanian ancestors.

Hey Eni 1.How is macedonia hellenic which its not and 2.I personally think instead of squaberling over a name which by rights macedonia is macedonia and not known by any other name, you greeks better get your own house in order with the political unrest in your own country instead of campaigning a name change of another country which it shouldnt have to change

God you are clever! But here is a better idea. instaed of you bulgarians trying to pass as Greeks and using Greek names and Symbols (Macedonia, Vergina Star) why dont you accept your slavic herrtitage and go with your old name (60year ago) Vardaska??

You idiot, all Banovina's were linked to some sort of geography like mountains and rivers. This was intentionally done by the powers of the time so as not to be along ethnic borders.

Learn English - you make no sense.
For modern Greeks to make such claims they will need to provide evidence to (1) prove that Macedonia does not belong to the people that were living on it before Greece annexed it in 1913 and (2) prove that the modern Greeks are indeed the rightful heirs of Macedonian lands

ok lean that the people that live there are the people or the decendents of the people who have allwazs lived there.

Prove to whom? To some Bulgarians who pretend to be "Macedonians" ?
Every reasonable person knows the truth, except for some Skopians .The facts are overwhelming and shout for the greekness and not for the FYROMness of Macedonia. People who have no credibility and no dignity deserve nothing else but their destiny.
