Not saying I agree or disagree, but how can you put "let's leave race out of this" when it is called Black College Reunion?
Face it, sometimes blacks wan't to be segregated as much as some whites do.
True, thank you. You have common sense, others lack it.

I attended B-CC in 84 when the first event was held. I had a great time!! I hope it can revert back to those days as it surely has changed. I agree, it's not the students causing the problems but visitors to the area. Have fun this weekend kids!!

You claim to be very intelligent, why are you spending your time teaching me a history lesson?, when you need to be learning how to treat everyone equal. Knowing the history of Florida is pointless, does that benefit you in anyway. Apparently, you are not very bright when it applies to Equal Opportunity. You my dear are a minority yourself, you seem to be mentally disturbed. Being mentally challenged is part of Equal Opportunity. Do your homework.
Yes, I am a 'minority' and I could perhaps throw in some Mensa crap your way, and I know about "Equal Opportunity" which is why I believe in getting ahead on your own merits instead of crying 'racist' with a discrimination suit when you don't get your way.

That is TRUE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY. Which sadly, you fail to understand.

And remember when I said that your yelling and insulting people is not going to win any support? Well, based on these responses, I think I've made my point. So maybe you should get a good dose of Shut the Fsck Up and maybe take a moment and realize what you are preaching.

When you come back with a calm, rational, and INTELLIGENT answer, then maybe we'll listen.

I think that its not fair that certain people get 'special' treatment. Its not 'racist' considering that I have no hate and anger toward anyone based on their skin tone.

But no one should get 'special treatment' becuase of that reason.

Tho, its worth hoping that Bethune-Cookman University will take control over it again and make the even civil and to the point that I don't have to worry about walking down the streets and get 'jumped' for no real apparent reason.

Who is crying racist and filing a discrimination suit? By the way, I am a Human Resource Manager for a Fortune 500 company. I am a graduate of UCF with a undergrade in Human Resource Management currently pursuing my masters in Business Administration. I know all about Equal Opportunity, I deal with it everyday. Believe it or not, most of my claims are from whites being passed over for a minority. Minorities are becoming the majority in a lot of aspects. Please do not believe blacks are the only ones screaming discrimintation, because they are not. Also, how do you consider yourself a minority? I am also a minority, a hispanic female.

Human Resources... figures.

And yeah, you should be getting claims from whites being passed over for a minority, it is happening all too often. If you want equality for everyone why not abolish affirmative action?

Can you gurantee an equal palying field for all people, or are you speaking off of emotion and political banter? Are you even in a position of influence to enusre equal opportunity? Probably not!
Thanks for another emotionally-laced comment!

I can guarantee that it definitely is NOT an even playing field under affirmative action. Can you guarantee that it would NOT be fair if we took it away?

The as a "minority female" you embarrass me.

Also, I'm not convinced of what you are saying. You may as well be a harry bald guy living in a delusional world and mindset. Calm the hell down and try some intelligence.

All that b*tching and verbally attacking with ignorant rants is not becoming of the education you claim to have.
