Although I'd read somewhere (maybe from reports of Maurice Brighthaupt's testimony?) that she or he would get rid of pills. I thought maybe that could account for some of the hundreds of pills missing. But hearing again on videos last night, the nannies claim Anna was given 6-10 pills every four hours then it made sense so many were "missing." Also, I'd go with your (and Baloney's) interpretation of the transcripts being from Sept. 2009. I was simply confused about the dates and you are far more versed when it comes to legal matters. I appreciate your input and insight more than you know (as well as a few others.) I'm very pleased to hear there will be a criminal trial. Now, we wait some more but not too long, thank God.

The only difference is we won't allow anyone to post BS about posters which seems to became the norm here on topix ,instead of discussing the cases. We allow people no matter who the are to grieve Mr O'quinn's death. It doesn't matter if you knew him or not it's called respect for a man that has done a lot for many people. You see it doesn't matter who is the best when it comes to the cases or who is grieving harder then whom. What matters is 2 people were lost in a horrible accident yesterday and 2 people died useless deaths in these case's. Hi Sarah~ I mentioned often about John O'Quinn's passing and didn't say much about Johnny Cutliff. Mybad. My condolences and prayers are also with his family and loved ones. You're right; TWO [more] people useless deaths and it really doesn't matter who is grieving more than another. May they all rest in peace.

For SheStone wrote: <quoted text> Thanks, SheStone. So it looks like different degrees of homicide are subject to limitation statutes. Since Florida said how it proceeds will hinge on the outcome in CA, keeping in mind that the CA investigation took 2-1/2 years, I can only hope that the states are working together toward one great big strategic end. Adding to the above... I don't know if The Law will ever be able to prove Stern and the doctors intentionally set out to kill Anna, but they did kill her. Sort of like a drunk driver doesn't intend to kill anybody; but if not for his reckless actions, someone ends up killed. In Daniel's case, I don't think anyone was fooling around there. I believe he was outright murdered. His death came about just a little too conveniently and, even if he did experiment with drugs, it's quite a leap to assume he would go and overdose on methadone. But his death launched the endgame for Anna. Keeping her in a state of stupefaction served no purpose but to keep her quiet. Why would they take her to Florida if they were keeping her stoned in the Bahamas? Of all the places they could have become regular partiers, why would they choose a place on foreign soil? It all sounds like a big setup.

You have no idea what Vices relationship with JOQ was up until the time he died. Those depos are over a year old. And yes, she was included as being called his friend. They had a lot in common. Their charity and warm feelings and desire to help Virgie Arthur. You people make me sick. Everything is a contest or something to dissect. And that is so very disrespectful to the deceased. Talk about his achievements or anything but this fighting over something you know nothing about is beyond disgusting. Shame on you.

For SheStone wrote: <quoted text> I hope Florida gets it in gear and acts soon, too. I hope they decide to throw caution to the wind and go for the charge that has no statute of limitations. The only charge I'm interested in is a possible homicide charge. Do you know offhand if the different degrees of homicide have a statute of limitations? For example, is there a limitation to how long a DA can go after someone for negligent homicide? Or is homicide "homicide," regardless of the degree, and therefore the statute of limitations would not apply? Pipe dream. Florida has washed it hands of this regardless of the preplanned reports they were "reexamining" the case. The Seminoles will never mention this again IMO.

Pipe dream let it go wrote: <quoted text> Pipe dream. Florida has washed it hands of this regardless of the preplanned reports they were "reexamining" the case. The Seminoles will never mention this again IMO. I believe that California can ascertain jurisdiction through federal agencies. Here is an example: Some crimes have national significance and, to reflect the public interest, their investigation and prosecution will fall to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and/or the Department of Justice. This creates tensions between the two systems because the individual states in which aspects of the criminal activity have taken place may wish to assert jurisdiction over that part, whereas the federal authorities will wish to consolidate the wrongdoing across several states into a single trial. One significant result of the concurrent jurisdiction between state and federal courts (and in some cases between different state courts) is that an individual who violates both state and federal law, or the laws of multiple states, can be separately charged and tried in each jurisdiction. Thus, a resident of Virginia who defrauds a Florida resident through the mail may be tried in Virginia state court and in a Florida state court, and in a federal court in either Florida or Virginia. ========== Other aspect that need to be look into is if in effect the Seminole sovereing territory had jurisdiction over the investigation. Thechically, Anna died at a hospital that falls into state and federal jurisdiction, she was not pronounced dead at the Hard Rock Hotel, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Memorial Rigional hospital, the hospital is located in Hollywood, Florida in South Broward County. http://www.broward.org/medical/070223_2_scene...
