Pavarotti's singing really touches the soul. I feel so blessed I was able to see him perform during his Farewell Tour. It's amazing to learn about his whole life too - other Pavarotti fans might find this interesting too -- http://xtimeline.com/biography/Luciano-Pavaro... .

Poppa,
Concerning your comments. You are one ignorant uninformed person. Luciano has done much for those less fortunate, many orphans in Bosnia and other places etc. ect. much , much much! I feel sorry for your apparently poor upbringing and lack of natural common sense...

Thanks to "The Source" for Maestro Pavarotti's rapturous voice, a rapturous voice in the wilderness, truly a gift to a troubled humanity...

Yes, he was a excellent singer and he brought listening pleasure to millions but, (on the other hand) he cheated on his wife and married his mistress. Let's not put him up for sainthood.

Was he supposed to pay your bills or help your children? That's your job! His job was singing and apparently was very good at it, selling 100 million albums. Music is good for the heart and mind, I would say he brought much joy to the world. Did he contribute to real time solutions. I know he did charitable events, raising money to help solve problems. Just curious how did you help the world today? I would bet one day of his life brought more good into the world, then everyday of your life combined.

i wonder why i can never appreciate tenors and opera. i only like jazz, pop, and disco music. well, i am born this way and i have to patronize the kind of music i love. if you are born an opera lover, then that is you business and your life.
Wow, I've never heard anybody admit publicly that they were a fan of disco music....you must like rap then...so much of the same beat!!

yes uve said it like it is. thats really what my point was, but trying to say it in a nice way.(I respect the way u have said it - its more honest and down to earth)
to much importance is put on these celebrities and we really believe the crap thats put out there. the man made millions and maybe he did do his share of charity work but what was his true reason for it, and if u really want to contribute to charity why do u need everyone to know about it. giving a concert for charity is fine but he certainly had the money to just give the cash. point being he didnt have to put himself in the limelite to help others.

its true he had a wonderful voice,no doubt many people enjoyed it. but ALL music can give pleasure no matter what kind it is.

EVERY opinion here deserves to be hear, whether we agree or not, like u have said, lets not make him something that he was not. afterall he was just a human being, like the rest of us. faults and all.

We have a lost an opera icon and will be remembered through out time and by all. He will sing for the heavens now and still be heard on earth.

The one and only "True" MAESTRO of our time...Luciano Pavarotti. The Lord blesses his children in many ways...The Maestro's voice resonated a heavenly sound. Luciano Pavarotti lived his life as though he walked with the Lord every day. He spread love, joy and happiness where ever he went. May God Bless Luciano Pavarotti.

Who has heard of you? You made your own bills and
children and only you should be responsible for both. He did not make people poor or homeless, neither did he contribute to the worlds problems. He brought joy to those that heard him sing with his marvelous voice. His contributions to this world will live forever. You will die and no one will even cry or care.
Agreed, agreed, agreed. Thank you for this post.

when was the last time we as individuals gave our own loved ones an outpouring of life and love?
we seem to think we know these celebrities, and yes we love what they do - sing, act etc. but we dont know how they really are as a person.. and yet we seem to look up to these people as if they really are special. yes special in his music but in general thats pretty much all we know about him.
why do humans have this need? with all due respect,
maybe what we should really do is look at our own loved ones and think of them as special, afterall they are the "real" deal in our lives.
RIP - Pavarotti
I think Pav was a great singer, but I also think he was a bit jealous of Andrea Bocelli in his own way. I know he loved Andrea, but there was tension there on Pav's part, no doubt, just as there is the horrible green monster of envy there of Domingo. No one can deny that. The only difference is that Andrea loved and adored Pav, and I'm sure Pav loved Andrea.

As Tupac Shakur would say Domingo is a "Down ass Bitch" but Andrea ain't mad at him...(For reference to that last comment, please see ANY Tupac website to see the meaning of what I just said please...)

It must have been really cool to be so close to these two tenors that you know so much about them...

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Libra

Is a relationship getting dull and predictable? If so, it's time to inject some spontaneity into it, preferably by doing things on the spur of the moment and taking a few risks. Maybe you should go out for a meal for a change. There could also be a surprise in store when you realize you're attracted to someone who's totally different from your usual type.
