Way to help the CSO and focus primarily on the negative again in this review.

The noise during the concerto was so annoying that many people (me included) left at intermission. The Ohio Theatre personnel should have found the offender. I, for one, want my money back. This was not the enjoyable experience it should have been.

I doubt that an artist of Andre Watts' caliber and experience would allow someone's loudly squealing hearing aid to affect his playing. The orchestra should have stopped playing and the person causing the noise should have beeen escorted out of the theater. Any person causing a disruption, regardless of why, should be asked to stop it or leave. That kind of policy would be fair to the other audience members.

I sat in the upper balcony (best seats in the house for a concert) and did not hear the offending noise.
I did not particularly care for the first piece on the program, but thought the Beethoven and Brahms to be marvelous and uplifting.

It bothered him enough to stop the concert after the first movement at which time the conductor addressed the audience about the noise. I've never seen that happen before.

So she should ignore anything negative, and write instead fluff pieces? A critic's job is to critique. Who wants to read a Pollyanna?

Wish Andre Watts would come to Los Angeles for a concert soon....I missed the Hollywood Bowl one several years ago because I believe it was cancelled
