Um... he has consistently infringed on copyrighted artwork. Did he mention Rene Mederos in his book? I doubt it. What about Mannie Garcia? Probably not. If Patrick Cariou wins his case against Richard Prince I think Shepard Fairey will see his career come to a sudden end. If the ACTA is launched he won't even be able to have a website to sell his clothing line. It helps to do some research about the artist before spitting out the media hype surrounding him. This clown is an insult to the US arts community.

It is sad that criticism of Shepard Fairey has not been touched on by the media. Only the Boston Globe has had the courage to go against the grain of hype. It is a sad day when a copyright ingfringer is given cult status. I know that Warhol infringed as well, but Fairey is taking from artists of color who are relatively unknown.
