Tina Fey is a great actress. To be able to dumb herself down for this performance was amazing! Fey is widely thought of as brilliant, while most Americans realize Palin is a rather dim bulb. Great show and great job by an amazing actress.

This was funny two weeks ago; but the SNL anti-Palin comedy is starting to get shrill and bitter. If they keep it up, it will backfire by November.

Fey rocks!
Not to mention she is more qualified to be a vp candidate then Palin herself.

At least Palin, who is self-confident and accomplished in every way, can take a joke; Obama can't and bristles when people make fun of him as in the Paris Hilton comparison. No one wants a president who takes himself more serious than anyone else. And SNL is afraid to make light of Obama because of the racist complaints that are automatic from the Obama campaign and its surrogates in the media. In the meantime, Biden doesn't need anyone to poke fun at him; he's just a walking joke all by himself.

Hard to believe that the distinct possibilty of Palin becoming president doesn't scare the beejeesus out of everyone. Is anyone thinking about this?

SNL is just trying to push a political agenda like Dave Letterman is

You didn't mention (as your competitor did) the lines in the debate sketch about Rezko and giving a tax break for city council graft. Shows the Tribune's political orientation.

I don't know if this was ever funny. I'm no conservative, but all this republican bashing in the media is getting old and pathetic. The people on the right are loving this and it plays right into their playbook. If SNL really wanted to be edgy, they would also mock Obama. Unfortunately, this ain't gonna happen.

The Trib's political orientation has always been Republican-- you should know that. It's just that Palin is so easy to make fun of. She had that deer in the headlights look during the Katie Couric interview.

The role of lifetime for Fey. She's a great writer, but normally a pretty stiff actress, but she does pull this one off well. When she was on Weekend Update, it was painful to watch. But she is pretty darn good as Palin.

Sarah Palin is to Tina Fey = what Cosmo Kramer was to Michael Richards.

It's very amusing to watch the gop hacks twist themselves into knots more intricate than Palin's rhetorical contortions in transparent and futile efforts to appear to defend this fish out of water.

But they make it so easy...

You have to admit, the SNL skit was not that far from the real thing. Maybe that's what makes you question whether it was funny. I'll take funny over painful.

Gosh, I don't think Paris Hilton looks or sounds the least bit like Obama. Maybe that's why Republican humor and satire is always so lame.

I'm sure the cry baby McCain camp will claim that SNL is being sexist again... when in reality, they are just being funny.

I am starting to feel sorry for Sarah Palin. McCain did her a huge disservice asking her to be his VP. She isn't ready. Maybe one day she could have been... but this will be the end of her political career seeing that she is the punchline of every joke and she has been exposed in the couple of interviews she has granted. Oh the debate is going to be painful.

Tina Fey is hilarious... I do hope SNL keeps it coming... bring back Will Ferrell to do a little more Stupid Bush too....

Seeing that we are a terrified nation thinking about the $700billion bailout (Bin Laden has nothing on Bush when it comes to terrifying the American people)... it's nice to laugh as we shake our heads at how true these skits truly are...

Jeez, did you watch they rest of the show? They lampooned Obama in a parody of the debate. How typical of a neocon to see only one half the side of everything.
Yes They will

Just as SNL has mocked every sitting President... they will mock Obama as well when he is in the White House... as will Comedy Central and every pundit...

The republicans are the low hanging fruit right now... they are very easy to mock... because they keep screwing up.

Perhaps you should watch the show before you comment. They DID make fun of Obama.

Don't you hate it when the facts get in the way of your political agenda?

Tim, youre absolutely right. Even the start of the skit was kinda funny but it started to get stupid about midway through.
