TIna Fey and Amy Poehler both fall in line with Madonna as minimally talented folks who have somehow gotten people to believe they are something other than the exceedingly average performers they are. These three just happen to be women, but the list of all genders goes on and on. As I look at this very page the candidates are many Vanilla Ice, Wesley Snipes and Beyonce are all featured here and all fit this characterization nicely. As you say you were feeling about halfway through the film-i.e. 'I started wondering why I wasn't laughing more' you have captured how I, and many others have felt, as we watched everything Tina and Amy have come up with on SNL. Watch Weekend Update with Amy and Seth anytime you want to have that same feeling. If only either of these two were as funny as they seem to believe they are--not to mention the fawning 'flavor of the month' types who are 'entertained' by them.

No one has to love Tina Fey but many people do. She'sa great writer - have you seen "30 Rock" or "Mean Girls?" Her skill and wit are undeniable. I'm planning on checking out this movie tonight, although I'm disappointed that it wasn't written by Fey, which is probably why it only got 2 stars.

Beat me to the punch, Sarah - I'm planning on going tonight, too. I am surprised to learn that Tina and Amy had no hand in writing this...especially Tina -hasn't she proven herself enough?

Two low talent actresses and a stupid plot. The title alone tells you it's a loser movie.
