One of the most anticipated TV and pop culture appearances of the year took place on NBC Saturday when Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin visited Saturday Night Live. And producer Lorne Michaels wasted not a second in giving viewers what they tuned in for with an opening sketch featuring Tina Fey as Palin -- and Palin as herself.

Apparently the Palin staff is having issues with the McCain staff and she's getting all 'mavericky' and making unscripted statements and going against her sugar(grand)daddy. Girl wants to ammend the constitution, make 'being gay' illegal, make abortion illegal and then, the cherry on the cake? Move our capital to ALASKA!

McCain is not happy at all especially when he looks at his poll numbers. To think that just a month ago she was the wind beneath his sails and now she's the oversized anchor on his dingy. Bummer.

I actually felt sorry for the old guy on Meet the Press this morning. He tried to name his 5 Secretary of States that are supporting him and TWICE he went down the list and couldn't come up with it. Then in the middle of Brokaws next question, McCain shouts out "GEORGE SCHULTZ-it was George Shultz". Brokaw was clearly taken aback.

Add that to his botched speech about Murtha's racists remarks where McCain agreed with Murtha then corrected himself then corrected himself and it appears that fatigue is setting in and why wouldn't it? He's 72 and under great pressure. Luckily, he's gonna get a much needed vacation in 9 days.
