At least people are aware that Tina Fey is acting. A lot of people do not realize that Palin is acting too.

Everything the McCain camp has said about Palin is a massive exaggeration or worse.

She's "Commander of the Alaska National Guard" and you know "you can see Russsia from Alaska", so she's an expert on foreign affairs, a "reformer who fights corruption" under investigation who appoints unqualified high school friends to state positions, and also happens to be "against earmarks" unless its federal money coming into her state. She also claims to have "stopped the bridge to nowhere" but was actually for it before she was against it, and she gladly took the lower 48's bridge money anyway to spend in her one horse town.

The McCain peple said she visited an Iraq War zone, and also visited Ireland, but it's sinc been revealed that she visited Kuwait and on the way home, the plane stopped for refuleing in Ireland. Have a Guiness for me next time, Mrs Palin.

McCane also wants to add that "she's among the countries most knowledgable people on energy in the United States" (??!!?!!!?
watch the 24 second video for yourself:

Wow, a BA in Journalism from an unknown school in Idaho, and she knows more about energy than all the scientists working for Exxon Mobil Schlumberger, and Halliburton combined!

If the election doesn't work out, maybe Ms Congeniality-Hockey Mom can teach Thermodynmics at Cal-tech or MIT, I'm sure they would want one of the most knowledgeable energy experts, considering nobody at MIT knows more about energy than the great sarah palin.

The poster child for the Political Kool Aid drinker is the the typical republican walking zombie that is falling for the over hyped unqualified Sarah Palin.

Totally agree, unfortunately the Democratic presidential candidate is actually less qualified. That Obama is the best the democratic party could put up as a candidate in an election year taking place while the US is at war, and our economy is tanking is very telling on the thought process of the democratic party. They might have well put up George Clooney, he would have been more qualified than Obama, but it is obvious the party values a good acting ability above actual experience. I guess it is fitting that the biggest supporters of Obama live in Hollywood. It saddens me that as a lifelong democrat I have no choice but to vote for Mccain but in these hard times we need an experienced and honorable man as president.

just another reason to love tina fey. she nailed the impression (whether the accent was perfect or not) and the skit as a whole was excellent. "ask her about the dinosaurs" was and awesome line. Palin is truely NOT someone that should be in public office. if you want to vote republican because mccain is the most experienced politico running you have to realize that if he dies we'd be stuck with someone who actually believes that the world hasn't existed for millions of years. someone who literally believes that a 900 year old man named noah built a boat to float around in with 2 of every animal and his family and somehow managed to repopulate the earth (including people with dark skin and people with narrow eyes). This is a woman who really was going to ban books from her local library (whether she denies it now or not). Not someone that can be close to Federal office.

it's fine to evaluate and criticize Palin's experience, but why does no one talk about Obama's? yes, palin would be "one heartbeat away" from the presidency, but obama would be closer. i'm not particularly happy with the repub ticket, they are pandering to all the religious freaks which makes me sick. voting for obama is simply not a choice. i have only heard of a couple of things he intends to do, all of which will cost lots of money. i just wonder where all that money will come from (sarcasm).

i will be voting for the libertarian candidate, Bob Barr. they are closer to the true old republicans before the religious right got a foothold. they believe in less gov't and more personal freedom. they will only get a fraction of votes, but i just can't with good conscience vote for either obama or mccain.

i have seen the old SNL skits and have never laughed at any of them. John B was awful...GASP, how can someone say that about him. it's true, that samurai guy and blue's brother's skits are terrible. i did like Gilda and Chevy, that's about it, the rest weren't funny.

i think perhaps what is considered funny has changed. it's obvious when you see old people laughing at "I Love Lucy". there nothing at all funny about her making faces. i can't even get through an episode. of course i'm challenged to name a current funny show.

SNL Fey Mocks Palin

NEW YORK (AP)-- Never mind all those questions about who will win the election: because after Fey's Amazing
Mocking performance, of the very incompetent rightwing nut alaskan governor Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live." She will make sure Palin won't win. YES even SNL Smells a Rat in Palin.

Fey — and the will-she-or-won't-she suspense that preceded her appearance — helped make NBC's "Saturday Night Live" a ratings in its season kickoff
(which was hosted by Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps).

Then the 5 1/2-minute segment pairing Fey with cast member Amy Poehler (as the great Sen. Hillary Clinton) also has become a global Internet sensation.

SNL, The voters, um, viewers seemed to have spoken. and it's Obama as our Next President! In preliminary numbers measuring the nation's major cities, Who Watched Palin's Character Get Crushed by Fey.

the show's 34th-season premiere logged a 7.4 rating and 18 percent share of audience — the largest viewership for a "SNL" season debut since 2001, and up 64 percent from last year's opener, according to Nielsen Media Research. Who couldn't wait to see Palins Character get Slammed for what she is. a very Clueless and Incompetent women who Doesn't even know what the Bush Doctrine is. Was the Biggest Highlight of SNL.

And just goes to show you what kind of Trouble this Country will be in if Palin infiltrates the high office.

(For this survey, a ratings point represents approximately 780,000 households. The share is the percentage
of in-use televisions tuned to a given show.) Who now know the truth.

With the incompetent Alaska governor poised to be a prominent part of the political race through Election Day as Sen. John McCain's out of touch And Clueless running mate, after SNL she will never be serving as vice President after that!, there's little doubt she'll be Mocked again by "SNL," which historically has had particular relevance in its political parodies.

For the long term, "SNL" executive producer Lorne Michaels reportedly has an as-yet-undisclosed "Plan B" and "Plan C" for the next slam-dunk for the incompetent Palin's next Character impersonator, in lieu of Fey. but plan C May maybe based on the Alaskan Methadone labs that Palin and hubby who Secretly gets a huge kick back of $ from.

In the meantime, as Liepis noted, Fey? "She has a day job." -Encore SNL!

Heh Cha, I tell you what would by funny, Obama behind the scenes now that people are getting to know him better. I guess some people find it hard to understand how Barry is going to lower taxes for 95% when 40% don't pay taxes. Has Obama ever voted to cut taxes?
Palin is one fantastic public speaker and good under the pressure of unfair and gotcha questions.

SNL obviously is doing their best to bash Palin, now Lindsey Lohan is bashing her also.

Hate to bring the liberals down to earth, but this is actually good news for Palin. I know it is hard for most liberals to believe but the majority of people in the US don't care what the entertainment industry thinks, in fact most people feel that they need to vote exactly the opposite. So thankyou SNL.

Pointing out facts is not 'bashing'. Now, what the Republicans do, the lies and twists, that's bashing!!

And as for the Obama people being out in force, I see an equal amount of 'kool-aid' drinkers on here, carefully avoiding anything that looks like a fact.
