Whether you all like it or not, The reason why Amy Locane will be acquitted, is because even if she was sober, traveling at the speed limit of 35 MPH. and slammed on her brakes when when she saw the victim's car crossing in front of her, it would have been highly improbable she would have been able to stop in time to avoid a collision. I'm sorry my fellow bloggers, but this is just physics. The defense will correctly introduce experts who will demonstrate that it would have taken several hundred feet for a vehicle traveling at the speed limit of 35 MPH to stop in time. This is just mathematics and science ladies and gentlemen- these disciplines are objective, unemotional, and have no dog in this fight. Yes, it is tragic when anyone is killed, and we all disdain drunk drivers, but the simple truth is that this horrible accident could not have been avoided. Life and law is not fair people- something we all should know by now.
