Well knock me over with a feather. After all the whining and complaining about the grueling schedule of Gilmore, wanting out, wanting to work behind the camera and short changing the fans of a proper ending to Gilmore Girls, she is back for more. Well just as she has lost interest in GG with her “to hell with the fans and what they want” attitude, I have lost interest in her and her career big time. She is not such a great actress in any case and there are plenty of good shows and much greater talents out there that I can easily cast her by the wayside. Her best portrayal of “Rory” was when she was a high school student. She was terrible once at university. And the way Gilmore Girls has been sabotaged by the “girls” with their ever pickiness and unrealistic demands, the only actors from the show that I would love to grace my screen are Scott Patterson, Melissa McCarty, Lisa Weil and all the little Stars Hollow folks. With one big exception, David Sutcliffe (aka Christopher) whom I detest with a passion. This news infuriates me to no end. What a hypocrite. I have as much disdain for her has she has always shown for the fans of GG.

It doesn't say whether the project is a movie or TV show. She might just want to do movies instead of TV. Why blame her for wanting to get away from Gilmore Girls? A weekly show is a lot of work, no matter what she gets paid. Perhaps she doesn't want to get typecast.

Well, since it's in the movies section at Zap2it and since it's produced by Fox Atomic (a movie company) and since it's being directed by a movie director... I'm gonna guess it's a movie.

Noele, you do understand that her life doesn't (nor should it) revolve around you, right? I mean, c'mon.

First of all, GG ended wonderfully, in my opinion. And had they actually come back for an 8th season, it would've been cut short by the writers' strike and it'd be even MORE of a crappy series finale than imagined.

Secondly, making a movie and working on a TV show are 2 incredibly different things. TV actors often work 10-16 hour days, 5 days a week, for a good chunk of the year. On a movie set, you'll have frequent days off, and often you'll have short days, not long ones. As a director, TV is probably much easier (not directing every episode, not the final decision-maker on most things) but for an actor, movies are definitely the less stressful and time-consuming job. As if you wouldn't want to move onto that after 7 years of bleeding a character to death.

I love Alexis and I support her whatever she wants to do w/ her career. It does looks like that she's the top lead on this so hopefully she could make it big this time around in the movielandia...

i'm glad to hear that she is moving forward and has an exciting career ahead. i'm a big GG fan, and was sad to see it end, but i think it was time for alexis to move on.

on a slightly sadder note, i recently watched an (old) interview of hers on letterman and was rather disappointed: she is not all that articulate or confident in 'real life'...perhaps that will come with time! she was, however, very down to earth, which was great!
