How long is the statute of limitations? How famous does the person have to be? What if it's someone who's famous, but for whatever reason, not familiar to you? The 'death comes in threes' thing is nothing more than metaphysics for the weak-minded.

Maybe celebrity deaths simply come in singles, but with frequency.

Anyone can find a pattern in anything if they really look hard enough, making coincidence into planned happenings.

So how do you count in Karl Malden and Billy Mays?

It happens in either 3's or 7's. I believe there was even a Grey's Anatomy episode that used this superstition as a brief storyline.

Sky Saxon was extremely influential. THE SEEDS, along with LOVE and THE 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS were outre, an American riposte to clean cut British rock groups and a harbinger of psychedelia and punk. I put him behind only Malden in importance.

Thanks to Billy Mays, instead of just three dead celebrities, we got the fourth one ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Karl Mauldin was a real STAR and yet we seem to have forgotten him and we talk about Farah and Billy. Which one of them won and Oscar?

Wouldn't it be great if Madonna, Paris Hilton and Prince joined them?

Edd McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson...followed by Billy Mays, Karl Malden and Harve Presnell...no matter how we count it, the rule of "3's" will be factored in. It is kind of like statistics, one can make it work to say what one wants it to, no matter what the numbers are. The saddest three for me were Johnny Cash, John Ritter and Warren Zevon all within four days in September, 2003. Remember to "Enjoy Every Sandwich" as Warren sang, because we just never know.

That would be "Ed McMahon", the extra "d" slipped in there as a typo, or a subliminal message of "d" for something else.

If you torture the statistics long enough, they will confess to anything
