I don't believe it. Let it go. Who cares? Everyone will be at the movies when Shrek 3 comes out laughing their heads off at Donkey. Eddie knew there was a good chance he wouldn't win because everyone knows the Oscars does not recognize many black actors.

I don't blame him! It adds a lot of kick to your box office and it sounds really cool when the movie voice over guy would say, "Academy Award Winner Eddie Murphy!" Little Miss Sunshine, The Last King of Scotland, The Queen, Babel, Letters From Iwo Jima; this was like The year of Movies that no one saw! The Departed was the only oscar contender that was a hit! This hits Eddie in the pocketbook, too! I'm sure the guy's not hurting for money, but still an exta Zero at the end of a check would look real nice

Eddie should have won an award for the Nutty Professor and Coming to America. It takes alot of talent to create characters that everyone believes are real individual people. Not to mention he had to deliver his lines talking to a tennis ball. Talk about concentration. And as for Alan Arkin, he plays the same boring character in every movie

Why shouldn't he make family movies? He was hilarious as Donkey in Shrek. He was also good in Haunted Mansion and a few other family movies I've seen with my kids.

Because he made enough and that isnt his core fan base,I mean would you rather-dreamgirls was kindda in between-have another Nutty Profeser, Bowfinger,Beverley Hills Cop,Coming To america,Trading Places and 48Hours evein somethin like Bomerang vs Daddy Day Care and Haunted Mansion.Plus Eddie is at the same level of actor as Robin williams and Eddie has a few Nods left in him.

I think kid movies should be for kids staring kids like The Sandlot which is great cause it has adult stuff in it and it's true to the languge of children.
