TV Land is the worst channel on cable. Endless reruns of a handful of tired shows, and now its moving to reality TV.

We have to end the monopoly on media ownership. No company should be allowed to own more than two channels. Or two TV stations. Or two newspapers.

Yet the Congress and the FCC keep moving toward consolidation and killing competition. Look at what happened to XM satellite radio after the FCC approved the merger: all unique programming was immediately nuked, and the playlists were whittled down to a handful of tracks repeated over and over and over. Sirius argued that iPods, etc. competed with them, and thus the XM-Sirius merger should be approved. Well, they killed it and now I use my iPod 100x more than before.

The whole clusterf* is the result of marketing only to GenX mouth breathers.

Your government at work for you. Not.

TVland fills a nice niche and allows me to occasionally watch some of my favorite shows from my childhood. Shows that are superior to most of the things on TV now.

If you don't like it don't watch it.

Find an outlet for your stress and let people that enjoy TVland enjoy it in peace.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Taurus

There are powerful forces at work in a relationship today, and they'll have quite an impact on you. If you're with that special person in your life, don't be surprised if there's a lot of sexual tension between you that manifests as irritation and bad temper. You'll probably have a huge row and then have a very enjoyable time making it up.
