You cheer Nicholson for picking his shots but he did make that geezer bomb "Bucket List" last year for a smile and paycheck. No one seems immune

In their "heydays," Pacino and DeNiro prostituted themselves and helped tp perpetuate the myth that Italians are violent gangsters. They may be wealthy, but I'll bet they are now suffering from a lot of guilt. These cruddy films they now make are their just rewards.

Why do I get the distinct impression that the author of this article, Patrick Goldstein, is 30 years old, and spends his weekends playing with his X-Box?

These guys are both legends in Hollywood. Both are Oscar winners (not to mention dozens of other awards), and have made some of the most memorable, quotable characters in the history of film. Has it ever occurred to Mr. Goldstein that they've paid their dues, and have earned the right to do whatever they hell they want with their remaining 10-15 years?

What a complete putz.

What do people expect. When you throw the tremendous amounts of money that they do at these actors, of course they are going to get swelled egos and just grab every role they can at 9 million a pop. I have a better idea. Give all actors no salaries. When the movie hits the theaters, give them a percentage of the profits. If it is a bad movie, they won't make that much. If they know they will make more by giving a excellent performance, they just might be more inclined to pick and choose a part that is right for them, not just a script to go through the motions and get a paycheck. I still think they both have oscar quality performances left in them, they just need the right parts. Maybe a part where they can act their ages...

Patrick there's a car waiting outside which will take you to the airport. I'll call your wife and tell her what flight you're on. Just don't tell me you're innocent. It insults my intelligence and makes me very angry.

I guess you forgot these guys were once starving actors. They paid their dues. Now they can do whatever they want. Its a free market. If they want to make money for their retirement and projects with their name what is different than any other athlete or star doing commercials or other non-artistic effort. People love these guys no matter what they do. I think the critics should take a chill pill.

Yes, let them pass on roles offered to them while they sit around waiting for a film that is truly worthy of their talents.

What nonsense! They have the right to do what they want, when they want. It's their choice, and nobody else's business, especially not some of the characters on this forum!

So, Patrick will move against you first. He'll set up a meeting with someone that you absolutely trust guaranteeing your safety and at that meeting you'll be assassinated.

Tom, can you get me off the hook? For old times' sake?

Can't do it, Patrick.

Tell Al it was only business. I always liked him.

I'm sure he knows that.

So the next day, my father went to see him; only this time with Luca Brasi. And within an hour, he signed a release, for a certified check for $1000.

How'd he do that?

My father made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

What was that?

Luca Brasi held a gun to his head and my father assured him that either his brains, or his signature, would be on the contract. That's a true story. That's my family, Kay, it's not me.

You have to answer for the Newsday article, Patrick. Barzini is dead. So is Phillip Tattallgia. Moe Green. Slacci. Cuneo. Today I settle all the family business, so don't tell me that you're innocent. Admit what you did. You fingered Bobby for the papparazzi.
