When it comes to this election you have to ask yourself one question?

If you are better off than you were 4 years ago. And if you are, can you help me get a government job too?

Nothing but the truth folks!

We tried, folks, we really did! We tried to screw this country up as much as we could but this Obama guy came along and though we fought him at every turn, he has beat us and he will prevail in November and things will only get better for the 99%. Are we better off than we were four years ago when Bush was president? Well, sadly, yes. Instead of acting like Americans, we set our gunsights on being divisive. Some of our best idiots devoted tens of thousands of hours trying to *prove* the guy wasn't even a citizen! Stupid? Well, yeah, but, we were trying to win an election ya know. That's what counts. Jobs and junk like that only count under a republican president. If Bush had wanted us to have them he wouldn't have de-regulated everything in sight and fought two wars on borrowed money. Oh well, Newt Romney will straighten everything out by taxing the sh!t out of those lazy poor people!

well, I'm making less money, working more hours with less benefits, and struggling more then I ever did before he was elected, and my life honestly got harder the year that he was elected, thats the truth. I think you'll find alot of people will tell you the same thing. and I can't help but wonder if the change is really for the better of the american people.i'm not trying to offend you or Obama, Iwas just answering your question.

Do you think he passed a law or something? If you're working more hours for less money and less benefits, it's because your employer is taking advantage of you. If you support a party that wants to do away with unions, the minimum wage, child labor laws etc., well, you are supporting it getting even worse. This recession started in December of '07. Obama took office January '09.

As 2009 opened, three weeks before Barack Obama took office, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9034 on January 2, its highest level since the autumn panic. Yesterday the Dow fell another 4.24% to 6763, for an overall decline of 25% in two months and to its lowest level since 1997. The dismaying message here is that President Obama's policies have become part of the economy's problem.

Americans have welcomed the Obama era in the same spirit of hope the President campaigned on. But after five weeks in office, it's become clear that Mr. Obama's policies are slowing, if not stopping, what would otherwise be the normal process of economic recovery. From punishing business to squandering scarce national public resources, Team Obama is creating more uncertainty and less confidence -- and thus a longer period of recession or sub-par growth.

no sir I do not think he passed a law, I was just stated the facts that took place in my life from the time he was elected. and it's kind of funny that you brought up his time of taking office because Jan 25, of 09. I was laid off from my job. I had full coverage ins. on my entire family which made my average my hourly wage to be 22 dollars an hour. now I'm not putting all the blame on Obama, but I started to try in believe in what he was trying to accomplish, and believe that it would get better, but after 4 years I am now without ins. and making less money. now should I blame Bush? who was in charge when I was doing better? or Obama who has promised a change to make this country better? truth is, I have always worked hard for my money and I'm not going to sit and point fingers at anyone for my misfortune unless I'm pointing them at me. I hope that made sense to you, I can't help but think Obama wasn't quite ready for what he got himself into though, and maybe he should of grown a little more in his political experience before he ran for president.

Would any president have been ready to step in and solve a recession- the worst since the Great Depression? The republicans keep raising the bar on presidential requirements. Remember when Cain was there man? He had zero political experience and, for a few weeks at least, THAT was *what the country needed*. Then they touted governors like Perry.... Well, neverminding that lame politicking, no president hits the ground running even in good times. It's never been an easy job and when one's political rivals (McConnel and Boehner) publicly say upon his taking the oath of office that their #1 priority is getting him out of office, you can clearly see that they are NOT going to let anything happen that could make him look good. The people be damned!

I noticed a change in business in 2000 when Bush took over. Companies began to get leaner and meaner with benefits. It was as if a memo went out: "Screw the employees". Look at the talk from the right now. No more minimum wage. No child labor laws. Bust the unions. No unemployment insurance. No pensions. This can only lead to lower wages and no benefits because all these things cut into profits. Corporations got rich while all these things were in effect but, obviously they get richer, the less they spend. Have you seen any millionaires begging on the streets? Those people are making MORE than ever, in a recession.

"That’s nothing my colleagues, you are waaaay behind us. In the USA,
About 3 years ago, we grabbed a person from Kenya with no brains, no heart, and
No balls. We made him President of the United States, and now the whole
Country is looking for work!”
