Climategate e-mails sweep America, may scuttle Barack Obamaa s Cap and Trade laws

There are 323 comments on the blogs.telegraph.co.uk story from Nov 28, 2009, titled Climategate e-mails sweep America, may scuttle Barack Obamaa s Cap and Trade laws . In it, blogs.telegraph.co.uk reports that:

Just a few considerations in addition to previous remarks about the explosion of the East Anglia Climategate e-mails in America. The reaction is growing exponentially there. Joe Public, coast-to-coast, now knows, thanks to the clowns at East Anglia’s CRU, just how royally he has been screwed.

The term that Fox News is now applying to the Climategate e-mails is “game-changer”. For the first time, Anthropogenic Global Warming cranks are on the defensive, losing their cool and uttering desperate mantras such as “You can be sceptical, not in denial.” Gee, thanks, guys. In fact we shall be whatever we want to be, without asking your permission.

At this rate, Copenhagen is going to turn into a comedy convention with the real world laughing at these liars. Now is the time to mount massive resistance to the petty tyrants and hit them where it hurts – in the wallet. Further down the line there may be, in many countries, a question of criminal prosecution of anybody who has falsified data to secure funds and impose potentially disastrous fiscal restraints on the world in deference to a massive hoax. It’s a new world out there, Al, and, as you may have noticed, the climate is very cold indeed.

What with all the meters showing normal EVEN WHEN MASSAGED

What with Climate scientists THEMSELVES calling climate reconstruction "JUNK" science.

What with there being NOT heated tropsophere

What wth EVERY email's talk of this and that issue involving LYING to people OVER and OVER

Do these men sound like they're talking about the end of the world? Or some kind of JUNK science:

From: Ed Cook

Hi Keith,

You probably haven't seen the newest version, which has not yet been
submitted..."

"...Sorry for sounding a bit testy here.

I've been fielding a whole raft of
questions, comments, and criticisms from Mike Mann, Tom Crowley, and
Malcolm Hughes. Some of them useful, many of them tiresome or besides the
point.
**********
I never wanted to get involved in this quixotic game of producing
the next great NH temperature reconstruction because of the professional
politics and sensitivities involved.
**********
All I wanted to do was demonstate with
Jan that Broecker was wrong, something that you have obviously done a few
times before but in journals that Broecker and others don't follow closely
(I guess. I should also say that the amount of ignorance about tree rings
in the global change/paleo/modeling community is staggering given what has
been published. Like it or not, they simply don't read our papers.). In so
doing, it seemed reasonable to compare the RCS chronology against the
hockey stick because that is the series that Broecker was railing against.
That is why I didn't bother to compare the series against all the other
records produced by you, Phil, and others. Jan originally did that, but I
chose to restrict the comparison to tighten the focus of the paper. More
reference to your results is clearly justified, so maybe I was wrong here.
**********
This all reinforces my determination to leave this NH/global temperature
reconstruction junk behind me once I get this paper submitted. It's not
worth the aggravation.
**********
However, the paper is something that I need to do
for Jan.

And I still think it is a good paper.

Cheers,

Ed

What I really mean is that you have written this paper implying that you
are getting low-frequency NH temperatures out of tree-ring data for the
first time- using the RCS. You set up this question then use a lot of data
in your analysis and the RCS as though they have not been analysed like
this before and then show you get more of a LIA than Mann , while
ignoring the fact that I have already produced calibrated summer
temperature curves (in the Science Perspective piece) from RCS ring width
data in Sweden , Urals , Taimyr and (in the JGR paper) using banded
density - which both show more low frequency than MBH. The real question is
whether MBH use data in tropical and mid latitudes that supress what is
really a high latitude summer signal in their northen predictors ? I just
don't think you are being very fair here- despite how many times you cite
me ( perhaps the citations should anyway reflect the useful contributions
to a particular area even if they number more than a token couple)
that's off my chest now
cheers

Yeah the guy in all Phil Jones' emails who wrote the paper saying 'since all the thermometers are wrong, temperatures will now be calculated deriving thermal content from wind speed'

who was talking with Jones, PLOTTING pure and simple to get the paper in, approved and out before they could be made to show the information they'd fed the guy. It's all right there. I had it posted somewhere earlier tonight

Go ahead Obama, fund this FRAUD.

And you're going to take OUR hard earned tax money, and FUND A FRAUD at the UN?

There is going to be an unbelievable backlash if he does this...

Stop reading the e-mails people!
Do you realize that it is a crime.
You are not scientists and your opinion means nothing.

The program and official position of the government has not changed people. This e-mail hype is just a bunch of fluff from the deniers.
Remember this is the same right wing racist crowd who formed the tea parties, oppose Health Care Reform and file lawsuits against the president trying to get him to show his birth certificate.
They lie.
They are also afraid. Afraid that the government is going to tax their crimes and send it to people who are oppressed and suffering.
We are on the cusp of a strong treaty at Copenhagen that will signal a major turning point in environmentalism and international governance. These e-mails are chaff and will in no way impinge on the lofty goals of the IPCC.
The western nations(mostly US) will pay for their eco-crimes and be forced to pay billions to the suffering in places like Africa. The moral imperative of a fair redistribution, is in itself , reason alone to support a strong treaty.

I do not know what crime you feel you need to be punished for, but I have committed no crime.

I do not believe in the redistribution of wealth. I do not believe I am responsible for any suffering in Africa.

The UN believes in the redistribution of wealth. That was part of the oil for food program they ran in Iraq. Remember the Iraqis starved and Saddam built palaces. The wealth was redistributed to Saddam.

In Zimbabwe, all the wealth is redistributed to Mugabe. The US didn't cause the mass starvation and displacement of the citizens of Zimbabwe, their leader did that.

Why would I want to give the UN or an African country money, when both have shown such poor use of it.

This was nothing more than manufacturing a crisis to justify sticking their hands in our pockets.

A global scam. When the UN proposed a tax on nations back in the early 90s, the nation went into an uproar about some goofy group that thought they could tax US.

Well...poof! Now, you have a manufactured crisis that you can BLAME on the advanced nations, and justify taking their money now.

Energy companies, scientists with tax payer funding their fraud, poor nations with their hands out....

This was ALWAYS about the money, nothing more.

Guess who is whining now after "climategate" broke out? Yep...the poor nations. They're concerned now how much money will come to the table now after this has been proven to be a fraud.

Yea, never mind the POOR nations are POOR because they have murderous obscene regimes...

They're concerned their hand out is going up in smoke because the fraud has been exposed.

This is about the money. It always has been.

Tell the UN and the IPCC to go pound.

I must have asked ten people today, "Have you heard about the Climategate scandal?" only one of them had, but not under that name. It's up to us to get the news out.

True, and something else the people may not realize is the so-called scientist are subject in my opinion. Remember, these bought and paid for scientists are no different than the so-called doctors the pharmaceutical companies use. Meaning, they keep these people on payroll to Say or Agree with whatever the parent company directs. Meaning, these so-called doctors and scientists get PAID to say the things they talk about. It also gives a false image of validity, after-all, this is what the Doctor said. Or, this is what the Scientist said, so it must be true. However, they will say anything, they will back anything, when they get paid as well as they do. Upwards of 115,000 to 125,000 a year, just to be at their beck and call and endorse the parent company agenda. But you folks already knew this, right?

Bombshell UN Documents Outline Plan To Use Climategate Crooks In “End Run” Around National Sovereignty

Posted by harbinger on Dec 1st, 2009

Strategy papers call for United Nations to boss economies and erect world government under pretext of environmentalism

Paul Joseph Watson
Tuesday, December 1, 2009

Shocking newly uncovered UN strategy documents reveal how elitists are recruiting members of academia from all over the globe in an effort to hide the “end-run” around national sovereignty that their agenda represents, emphasizing how the climategate crooks who were recently caught manipulating scientific data in order to “hide the decline” in global warming are working with the United Nations in the pursuit of a world government justified by the global warming fraud that they are helping to perpetrate.

One of the planning papers, entitled “The UNEP That We Want,” was produced by a specially selected group of influential environmental bureaucrats and delivered to the UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the regulatory body that established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the politicized organization that has attempted to slam the lid shut on global warming skepticism by claiming it is the supreme authority, despite the fact that scientists used by the IPCC were caught manipulating data and conspiring to hide evidence of global cooling during the climategate scandal.

The IPCC has attempted to deny the gravitas of climategate by claiming that it has no bearing on their conclusions about global warming, despite the fact that scientists at the University of East Anglia used intimidation and academic witch hunts to ensure that data they didn’t agree with politically was blocked from appearing in the IPCC’s fourth assessment report, which was published in 2007.

Participants who contributed to the first UNEP document included Janos Pasztor, currently head of the team pushing U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s unprecedented Seal the Deal lobbying campaign to pressure U.N. member governments into signing a new environmental agreement at Copenhagen, Dominic Waughray, currently head of environmental initiatives at the World Economic Forum; and Maria Ivanova, and Bulgarian academic Maria Ivanova, director of the Global Economic Governance Project at the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy.

The first document is very similar to a second UNEP paper entitled,“Proposed Medium Term Strategy 2010-2013.”

The documents outline a program of implementing a global system of governance based around environmental regulations and laws, stressing the agenda for the “evolutionary nature of strengthening international environmental governance.”

The aim of elevating UNEP’s influence to a position where it dictates rules to nation states, rather than nation states being the supervisors of UNEP as is currently the case, is advocated.

The documents discuss recruiting academia to further the power of UNEP, noteworthy in light of the recent climategate scandal where scientists at major universities were caught hiding evidence of global cooling.

“As the Swiss paper puts it, UNEP “should pioneer a new style of work. This requires going beyond a narrow interpretation of UNEP’s stakeholders as comprising its member states — or even the world’s governments — and recruiting a far wider community of support, in civil society, the academic world and the private sector.” At the same time the paper warns that these groups need to be “harnessed to the UNEP mission without appearing to make an end-run around the member governments,” summarizes Fox News’ George Russell.

This passage is fairly damning, as the UN is all but admitting that the program does represent an “end-run around member governments,” and that they have to do their best to hide the fact. That academics should be “harnessed to the UNEP mission” and not harnessed to producing unbiased scientific data about global warming also reveals how the climate change issue has been hijacked to serve the requirements of a global elite hell-bent on world government.

The first document also calls for an “Environmental Bretton Woods for the 21st Century,” where the environmental agenda is inextricably linked with the economy and the UN’s role is to have command over the economies of national governments.

The goals included in the four-year strategy paper include “efforts at local, national and global levels” to raise “sufficient finance to meet environmental challenges, including climate change,” which translates as using the problem of global warming to raise money for the operation of the global government structure which is being called for in the planning papers.

The goals enshrined in the documents, a counterpart to the globally binding agreement the UN is seeking to achieve in Copenhagen next month, are “certain to remain a UNEP rallying cry long after the Copenhagen meeting is over — and while the other brainstorming ideas that went into the new four-year strategy, not to mention the strategy itself, go into effect,” writes Russell.

This document represents yet another smoking gun proving that the climate cult movement is all about expanding the power of a dictatorial, unelected global government, diluting powers of nation states, seizing control of the global economy, eviscerating the middle class with a raft of new regulations and laws, and shutting down industry with impossible CO2 reduction mandates, while erecting environmentalism, which is really a thin veil for global fascism, as the new universal religion.

This has nothing to do with saving the earth and, as the climategate scandal has illustrated, nothing to do with the real science – but everything to do with a relatively small clique of globalists running roughshod over humanity itself in pursuit of their malthusian control freak agenda.

I saw on another board where some denier posted an unproven theory about unzippered correlation and period calibration to explain the divergence of Dendrochronological data(tree ring data) from actual temps...just rubbish.
They will try anything to deny their eco-crimes and the debt they owe to the 3rd world.
