The left will stop at nothing to push the global warming narrative. Time magazine recently released a special edition called "Global Warming: The Causes, The Perils, The Solutions" dedicated entirely to illustrate a "basis for hope" in regards to "pushing for solutions to our most pressing environmental threats." This 120-page glossy booklet was an ... (more)

Thanks to conserphatif, exxxxon, & industry pollution producing PR re-pubic-lick-un puffery, for pointing out good scientific believing Time magazine. Worth a subscription,'cept I already received the superlatively written & photographed magazine as a present.

Yeah, we citizens here in Washington state love our planet. Of course, leave it to chunks of america, not to know the planet, care about the planet, & wish to pump industries that could make a difference, but don't want to change.

These deniers try hard to prove how ignorant they are.

Good grief!

The fastest mitigation to climate change is to severely reduce consumption of animal foods. About 1/2 of human induced warming is attributable to animal agriculture. Methane is 24 times more potent than CO2 and takes only 7 years to cycle out of the atmosphere. CO2 takes around 100 years to come out. Human pursuit of animal protein is the leading cause of methane release and a primary cause of CO2 concentrating in the atmosphere. Check the facts and act!

"As environmental science has advanced, it has become apparent that the human appetite for animal flesh is a driving force behind virtually every major category of environmental damage now threatening the human future: deforestation, erosion, fresh water scarcity, air and water pollution, climate change, biodiversity loss, social injustice, the destabilization of communities, and the spread of disease." Worldwatch Institute, "Is Meat Sustainable?"

"The livestock sector emerges as one of the top contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global. The findings of this report suggest that it should be a major policy focus when dealing with problems of land degradation, climate change and air pollution, water shortage and water pollution, and loss of biodiversity. The impact is so significant that it needs to be addressed with urgency." UN Food and Agricultural Organization's report "Livestock's Long Shadow"

“If every American skipped one meal of chicken per week and substituted vegetables and grains... the carbon dioxide savings would be the same as taking more than half a million cars off of U.S. roads.” Environmental Defense Fund

Why would someone choose to be vegan? To slow global warming for one! Here are two uplifting videos to help everyone understand why so many people are making this life affirming choice:

Generating renewable energy from waste products is better for the environment and the locals involved.

Nice vegetarian message.

However, if 10,000,000 leadfoot drivers(1 out of every 33 americans) drove with a feather foot, it would be like taking 2 million cars off U.S. roads.

If all drivers drove Prius's with a feather foot, emission-wise, it would be like taking 112 million cars off the road.

All fragmented and contradictory 'solutions'. The actual answer is to put a 'price on carbon' so that the costs are incorporated in ALL prices of anything that uses energy to operate or to be constructed.

Then let the markets work to reduce the problem in ALL areas.

A 'revenue neutral' carbon tax is the ONLY effective solution.

My solution & your solution involves gov't, on the surface, which toxic topix AGW deniers wouldn't initially like.

My solution....a good(bad?) dictatorship would say,'if you aren't driving AND obtaining 50mpg, we execute you'. People would Prius-up & feather foot simultaneously....no squawks, lawsuits or exceptions. Jeesh! Overnight the mass transportation systems would be full.... not an empty bus, train, subway anywhere.

After getting over their initial snit about gov't interference with your LIFE, toxic topix AGW deniers would love it. toxic topix AGW deniers know how poorly threats work.... but threats & executions.....WHY, that's right up the way of toxic topix AGW deniers, specially if they can work up some self-righteousness.
