these mfkers think they slick....talkin about "lincoln freed the slaves and he was a republican" like people are so stupid we don't know the difference between a republican of today and what the republicans were all about 100 or 200 years ago. That's like whites who call obama a socialist because he believes in things like universal healthcare then those whites say hitler was a socialist, therefore his his philosophy is the same as obama's. It's not about the name "democrat" or "republican"...it's about what those parties STAND for. the DEMOCRATS supported civil rights...the repblicans were against it. when civil rights was passed, white southern democrats changed parties and went republican. THE DEMOCRAT PARTY IS THE LIBERAL PARTY SUPPORTS BLACKS AND OTHER MINORITIES AND REACHES OUT TO OTHER COUNTRIES IN THE SPIRIT OF TOLERANCE AND ACCEPTANCE. THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IS A PARTY OF RACISTS, BIGOTS AND GUN-LOVING, BIBLE-THUMPING HYPOCRITES. That's just how it is, and there's nobody in their right mind who is honest with themselves that will deny it.

Agree.
The parties did a total reversal to cater to the racist whites in the Southern strategy to bring the "Dixiecrats" to the Republican party. Both serve the oligarchy and not the middle class anymore.
No reversal. The bigots in the Democrat Party are the blacks.
.
The "Southern strategy" brought conservative Democrats into the Republican Party. All the rest voted for George Wallace, not Richard Nixon.

The Republicans were putting into place a healthcare system.
.
The issue is, who pays for healthcare. Obama and Nancy Pelosi lied about the cost. Both intentionally misrepresented the cost of the program and it's looking more like you'll be paying more to get far less.
.
The prime purpose of blacks in the Democrat Party is to serve the party's racist instincts by acting as mouth pieces calling everyone else racists. After 200 years, the Democrats still can't get race right.

The middle class as we know it today was an artificial economic creation done in another economic era.
.
Sad truth is, you can not run the federal deficit we have now. Obama knows there isn't a enough rich to pay for his programs. There's only one other group that can pay and that group is the middle class.
.
His game plan? Make some noise about taxing the rich more then go after the middle class.

DEMOCRATIC PARTY LYING ABOUT RACIST ROOTS
Conservative rising star:'They're co-opting history of the Republican Party'

Democrats are lying about their past and overwhelmingly winning minority voters, and a prominent black conservative says they will keep winning until conservatives learn how to win the propaganda war and champion the story of slave-turned-abolitionist Frederick Douglass as an outreach to black voters.

K. Carl Smith is a rising star among black conservatives. He recently addressed the 2013 Conservative Political Action Conference and is author of “Frederick Douglass Republicans: The Movement to Re-Ignite America’s Passion for Liberty.” He told WND conservatives have the right message, but their approach to voters is deeply lacking.

NEGLECTED VOICES

Sixteen African-American men served in the United States Congress
during the Reconstruction period.

Many of these people also served as members of the state conventions by which
the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified.

Despite their centrality to Reconstruction’s experiment in
multi-racial democracy, they are largely forgotten.

Despite their special perspective on the meaning of the Reconstruction Amendments,
by which basic civil rights and civil liberties are defined and protected in the United States,
their voices are largely ignored in constitutional jurisprudence.

Reproduced here are the speeches they gave in debates of the
Civil Rights Act of 1875
and the
Ku Klux Klan Act.

As a result of the characteristic and admirable generosity of
Eric Foner,
who graciously gave his consent,...

BLACK REVOLUTIONARY ERA PATRIOT[NOT a surprise is IT?]
Wentworth Cheswell
(1746-1817)
At WallBuilders we strive to “present America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious, and constitutional heritage,” so Wentworth Cheswell (sometimes Chiswell or Cheswill) is a perfect subject for our attention.

He was the grandson of black slave Richard Cheswell (who early gained his freedom and in 1717 and became the first black to own property in the colony of New Hampshire); and he was the son of Hopestill Cheswell, a notable homebuilder ...
http://www.wallbuilders.com/LIBissuesArticles...

Young Cheswell was a key figure in New Hampshire politics and the son of Hopestill Cheswell, a well known pre-Revolutionary house builder. The elder Cheswell, a mulatto, was an independent Black man who held an important business position during slavery. The younger Cheswell too excelled in local politics. Named for Royal Governor Benning Wentworth, he attended Dummer Academy[Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield, MA.] He was a justice of the peace and yeoman landowner, and like Paul Revere, Cheswell, made a midnight ride on horseback to warn New Hampshire residents of coming of British soldiers.

Sir, you're quite intolerant of other people's opinions and ideology in my opinion. Perhaps prejudice permeates under the surface of it all.

Considering the middle class is eroding away, there's not much to go on.

The elite control the monopoly of it it. Now class will trump race in our society with two groups regardless of race : the haves and have not.

Isn't it interesting that nobody hates a successful black American more than an unsuccessful one?

That was a real trite response, that really does not fit into this discussion.
Why don't you actually read a history book and look up Southern Strategy, before you attempt to engage me?
Why are so few blacks aware of the history of the party they support?

Maybe because the history of the Democratic party bears no resemblance to the party of today. I'm sure blacks are far more aware of that history than you are.
Most are also aware that if they want to see the essence of the old Democratic Party, they need look no further than today's Republican Party.

You mean like the Democrat Party's Shelia Jackson Lee on the floor of US House announcing she's a freed slave?
