"why is he being allowed to make public pronouncements" - that is just an idiotic thing to say. have you heard what comes out of the mouths of politicians lately? and what gives THEM the right to be listened to more than anyone else? dr. carson has read and studied a whole lot about this country. if you had read any of his books, you might know this...
What they will never admit is that the real Uncle Toms are the ones who are enslaved to the Democrat Party and refuse to deviate or think for themselves. They want Massah Democrat to keep giving them the free stuff.

The thing is, nobody would care what carson thinks if he was not a famous surgeon. any credibility he has comes, not from his wisdom as a leader, but from his skill as a doctor. Which is why he's getting himself in all kinds of hot water these days by making ridiculous comments. Those comments reveal more about the guy than we care to know...we like him better when he was just a surgeon who did great things in the OR. It's like charles lindburgh admitting to being a nazi sympathizer. And what's even funnier is, none of the white people holding him up as a spokesman for black people would even vote for him in an election if he was going up against a conservative white.

carson seems to have no perspective on history. it was white conservatives who tried to stop the civil rights movement. The same civil rights movement that gave carson the freedom to practice medicine at the highest levels. it was white conservatives who would have prevented carson from going to the top medical schools no matter how hard he worked and how much ability he had. the very word "conservative" is associated with racism and intolerance.

Now, becaue blacks are starting to level the playing field the republicans wanna act as if they are on the side of fairness and merit for hard work, and deny that blacks have earned a place at the table. Talk about being entitled. These are the same people who didn't even want minority CHILDREN to get health care. But carson acts as if he missed that whole healthcare debate. It was democrats who fought to change all the inequality in society that carson himself was a victim of. Only a dumba88 bites the hand and feeds him.

Desmond Sandiford seems to have no perspective on history. it was Democrats who tried to stop the civil rights movement-- and keep blacks on the Plantation today.

Hey Desmond, DR. Carson doesn't need anyone else's hand to fee him, he took personally responsibility to feed himself. That mentality is what has hurt the black community not those that took responsibility for their own lives and have succeeded and been a contribution, not a burden on society.

If carson had been born in 1910, he woulda NEVER been a surgeon. He woulda been lucky to get a job after graduating from high school, no matter how smart or talented he is... he needed help from those who came before him and who fought so HE could have the opportunity to do the things he does. It's nothing but ingratitude and arrogance on his part to diss people who have struggled for equality in america and who paved the way for him. There have been other blacks who have achieved greater success than he has, but the difference between them and him is that they remember where they come from, and they don't pretend like they did it all on their own and that america is a meritiocracy for all people. carson is nothing more than a highly educated fool.

You seem jealous of an educated highly professional competent doctor.

Carson has done more for people than I suspect you ever will.

Why is it that Blacks have to be examined and questioned about their votes?

Ma'am, do you even know all that it entails to be a brain surgeon? Years of studying? Technique? Dedication?

Your posts have had a variety of flaws but make no mistake, the Democrats are perfectly happy to keep you thinking it is always 1910.
.
By the way, in 1910 the Republicans were arguing for civil rights, not the Democrats.

This is the main problem that successful Blacks have today, from the Black underclass. These are the ones that tell the bright Black kids that do well in school,"you're acting white"!

There are certain Negroes,(lets separate the two,not Blacks) that make it their business to demean people that don't think like them, and this is what you're witnessing today on this board.

Lets face facts, the greatest enemy of Blacks, are Negroes.
Class trumps race. You're certainly not to far from the truth. It's always been the case though.

Agree.

The parties did a total reversal to cater to the racist whites in the Southern strategy to bring the "Dixiecrats" to the Republican party. Both serve the oligarchy and not the middle class anymore.

If you can't lick them, then join them.
Question::
Why do Negroes such as your self, worries about whites 24-7?
Life is too damned short to spend your life worrying about what another race is doing!
You're the one with the real problem.
That was a real trite response, that really does not fit into this discussion.

Why don't you actually read a history book and look up Southern Strategy, before you attempt to engage me?
