they didn't want it in 2008, and gave it to the DNC.
they appear to still not want it in 2012, based on these nominees that's an easy conclusion to come to.

tephens is wrong about Obama's accomplishments, but right about the 2012 result. Since Republicans have become cynically "anti-war", they have nothing else to run on.

Wow, great article; I agree with everything… except of course the dishonest delusional attacks on President Obama; other than that it was a great read. What the GOP has sent out potential nominees is nothing short of criminal. These people are dangerous, Romney not so much but then again no one knows exactly where he stands or what he stands for. One thing we do know is that he is not a real conservative.

President Obama has a great record to run on, and as the economy continues to improve, the right will have to go deeper in to their bag of delusions to try and make the dishonest argument that everything bad that happened is Obama’s fault, and that there is no improvement [move along, nothing to see here].

The only thing getting deeper here is your bullshit!

Great record-failures of shovel ready, cash for clunkers, solyndra, kept Bush's policies of Patriot Act, Tax cuts. Economy in the red states soaring while the blue states are failing.

When repubs got kicked out the Oval Office, we were losing 100k jobs a month. Now we are creating 100k jobs a month.

Repubs have their heads in the sand so they can willingly be ignorant to the facts. This alone should be a reason they will lose, cause many Americans can see through the repub bvllcrap.

...and Please make Newton Leroy your candidate for President. And then make room in your closet for all the baggage Newton Leroy will be bringing to the repub campaign for the Oval Office

The t-baggers demanded an "outsider" yet they support the King of King St. influence peddler, Newton Leroy Gingrich.

The t-baggers demand "family values" yet they support a man on his 3rd marriage as HE left his former wives for another.

The t-baggers demand "morals" yet they support a man who was kicked out the House by HIS OWN PARTY because of ETHICS issues.

The t-baggers demand integrity, yet they support a man who was cheating on his wife with a younger woman while slamming Clinton for cheating on his wife with a younger woman.

Repubs deserve to lose for supporting someone they would have slammed if he was a Dem doing the same as Newt.

Repubs are selling out on their own demands, just so they can find someone who can get angry with Pres Obama during a debate.

Repubs deserve to lose, and they will

Nope, but we are pro-defense of the country. Which is why Obama gets credit for
- Getting Bin Laden when repub Bush gave up
- Demanding we don't use our troops to liberate angry Muslims in Iraq
- Demanding we don't use our troops for nation-building and babysitting angry Muslims from killing each other.
- Using intelligence instead of boots on the ground in Egypt and Libya.

You repubs demanded we send in boots on the ground, in every case. Spending BILLIONS in Iraq and borrowing to do so by pumping our T-notes...and allowing Communist China to profit big time from our interest payments to them.

Why is at more responsible to ship oil from countries that are hostile to the United States, giving them money they use against us, can be better than an oil pipeline constructed with a 'friendly' neighbor.

The english dictionary should be amended to replace the word "Hypocrite" with "Gingrich" since that term is a much more fitting modern version.

That pipeline makes little difference in the amounts we have to pull in from the Saudis, Bush's buddies.

The repubs killed their request due to setting an arbitrary date for a decision, when they tied this issue to thee payroll tax break extension...in their attempts to hold Americans hostage by not allowing the payroll tax credit to continue unless the President allow the pipleline.

Idiot move by Beohner (again) was that the arbitrary date was way before the environment study could be completed. And we do this for any pipleline or nuke being built.

Did they really think Obama would okay the pipeline without the mandatory environmental study being completed? They made it easy for Pres Obama to deny it.

As Pres Obama stated, we need to get off oil, and take the pain to do so for our future, and future generations. Invest in alternative methods. Our kids will appreciate it.

But repubs, don't want to invest in anything nothing other than using more oil.

Repubs will never vote for a pacifist who wants to get the Feds out of drugs, abortion, prostitution etc.

You're dreaming if you think Paul has any chance of winning the nomination.

Is there a legal charge of treason you'd like to charge them with, or is this just jargon with no basis in the legal definition of treason?

We'll wait to hear your answer...you traitor (lol...that was pretty easy to spout a baseless charge!!)
