Sure, <sarcasm> it was all Al Gore's fault. Brooks forgets that this man served as the VP of the USA and in the US Congress.

Brooks blames the Republican abandonment of climate concerns on Gore? I don't suppose the recent avalanche of oil industry money into Republican and tea party coffers had a thing to do with it, then?

Wouldn't it be a first if Bush started a joint climate project with Gore?
The former GOP presidents don't seem to do things like Carter or Clinton have done. Would you expect Cheney join Gore? Not likely.
