Full story: USA Today

President Obama embraced his environmental record Thursday and fought back at his GOP rival's recent mockery by telling the Democratic National Convention that "climate change is not a hoax." In accepting the Democratic presidential nomination, Obama cited his efforts to boost cars' fuel efficiency, cut energy waste in buildings and expand solar ... (more)

Romney has implicitly rejected the IPCC view by saying that “my best assessment of the data is…”. Yet Romney isn’t competent to assess the data.(Neither, for that matter, are any of the unqualified layfolk who inhabit Topix. As much is it chaps the libertarian butt, we'll just have to trust the experts on this one.)

Then you want to continue the slow recovery under Obama? After all, it was the Republicans under GWB that created the current crisis. And it was the 'bundling of toxic mortgages' as AAA Bonds to sell to the world that brought the world down with them (thus ensuring a slow return to normal.

You do not just 'wish it away' as the RNC seems to want to do. And who do they pick to do it? A rich playboy whose main accomplishment was to raid vulnerable corporations to steal their assets and throw their workers out of good jobs. Do you really think Mitt Romney is going to fix the economy by reducing tax income while throwing tens to hundreds of thousands our of work, all the while eliminating any 'soft landing' that might save them??

Easy answers to long term problems are generally a sham and a con. But then there is a sucker born every second, so the Republicans stand a chance of really brining the USA into bankrutpcy.

MUCH more rational to keep with steady growth and solid management under Obama than go with the right wing con artists.
