There is a reason why democracy doesn't exist in the Middle East, because it doesn't work in the Middle East!Even Arabs themselves, privatly, will admit that democracy does not work in that region.

Meanwhile, the hand wringing continues in the White House. The apologizer in chief again does not know what to do.

you are one ignorant american, that is if you are an american, you might be one of those foreigners that don`t know anything about american history.
when the first white europeans arrived in the america, they had no idea or understanding of what democracy was, back in europe most of them were just illiterate peons with no idea of what democracy was.

to learn and appreciate democracy, it took white europeans hundreds of years, in the early years of europe, most white europeans were just peons, working in the lord or kings estates, they had no democracy.
white europeans when they arrived in america were still considered the kings subjects, you had no democracy.
your american ancestors didn`t know anything about democray, they were just the kings subjects.

dense american - I would have to say Matt is right on, whereas, dense american, you just keep rambling on making no sense at all. A free republic or democracy how ever you want to label it America was founded on those beliefs. However, lately it seems to be failing miserably. And America keeps sending politicians to the Middle East and around the globe trying to sell and convince them how great a democracy is, and as long as America keeps throwing Billions upon Billions of American tax payer money at them, sure they're going to pretend they're interested but in reality they have no interest. They just aren't wired that way.

The peoples of Europe made democracy happen for themselves. They evolved out of societies dominated by religious zealots and eventually formed flourishing democracies. This happened, by the way, as a direct result of the American revolution. I am not really sure what your point is... The fundamental problem in this region is religion and politics mixing. See Iran, Afghanistan, Gaza etc...

You've certainly chosen the appropriate moniker for yourself.

Let me see.... your comparing 21st century Middle East (where they can't go 20 years without some major conflict and civil unrest in the region), to 14th or 15th century Europe and America.
Wonderful in-site.

Not to worry...Congressman Keith Ellison's favorite muslim group The Muslim Brotherhood will take over and turn Egypt into another state governed by Hamas (Gaza strip). Then the oil lane (Suez) will be shut down to oil traffic thereby increasing the cost of oil to prices that even Obama will be proud of.
