2 Inmates Escape From Jones Co. Detention Facility

The Jones County Sheriff's Department says two escaped inmates remain at large. Sheriff Alex Hodge says 33-year-old Claude Johnson and 17-year-old Ira Hadley Jr., both of Laurel, jumped over the recreation yard fence Friday afternoon at the Jones County Adult Detention Facility.

this just proves once again that since taking over sheriff the inmates run the jail. it wasn't like this when I worked there. I just hope something is done otherwise Jones County has a long 3 years ahead if it with this sheriff and current staff

Could have bought a real fence with the cost spent on either the SUV, Two trucks, two motorcycles, "Sheriff Alex Hodge" on bumpers", ect.

Could at least have someone making 7 bucks an hour sitting in a car watching that yard. Pays for itself as manhunt aren't cheap and place resources where they'd otherwise not be creating more danger to the public.

I would be suprised if the Sheriff is even trying to find the one still on the run. And i agree the money used to purchase usless toys for his sorry deputies could have been used in better ways. I really hope the people of Jones County will not be fooled again by the so called Sheriff when its time to vote again.
