This is one of the most outrageous political situations in the world. Aung San Suu Kyi has been under arrest for the terrible crime of winning the popular vote? It's really proof that the powerful nations of the world don't actually care about democracy.

It's really incredible to watch footage of Suu Kyi rallying the Burmese people before she was imprisoned (see videos linked to in story) and to hear that her father shared her passion for human rights and democracy.
