Quite frankly, "nice" is boring. Believe me, if everyone was "nice", sooner or later you'd start bitching about it being too boring and lacking drama. I guarantee it.

Sometimes being nice is usually fake...being able to be who you really are is nice...but on the flip-side being kind to each don't hurt. The bottom line is who you respect and who respect you, being nice don't have anything to do with personality and the way you present yourself...you can be a pinhead and still there's somebody out there that likes you. Yeah I go for being yourself...being nice usually lose in the end.

Life is an arena for learning. Encounters with various forms of 'not niceness' provides us with an opportunity to flush out our responses ie is our own mean-ness close to the surface, see where we may have acted in a similar way at some other time,allowed us to rise above it and see where that takes us, etc.

Often being exposed to harsh lessons gets our attention better than being exposed to softer ones but it does suck at the time, doesn't it!
