why are people so mean to gays

People generally seem to be gay or awkward around or to gay people. i was just wondering why.

It's scientifically proven that you can't help that you're gay. I'm completely straight but 100% for gay marriage. It's like telling people to sleep with your brother, telling gays to be straight. It's wrong.....

Saw this question and couldn't resist it !
Why are people so mean to gays is like asking why some people beat their wives, or hate blacks, hispanics, etc.
It's like asking why some people beat their dogs or are mean to their kids, or hate cold weather or hate hot weather.

People are people. Some people just suck !
I will also add that I personally believe that being gay is Wrong. But - and that's a big but, the last time I checked it wasn't up to me to judge. How dare I judge someone else's life when their are so many things wrong within myself. It's just that my stuff isn't so obvious on the outside.
