I love Dir En Grey! No offense to Type O, but I wouldn't consider them to be "goth" in the slightest. They're just a "black metal" band that uses gothic imagery. Kind of similar to Nightwish. I hope that offered some insight to who they are.

Don me and you are officially best friends in the world wide web .______. Dir En Grey is one of my favorite bands. I got their obscure uncut version on this dvd my friend made me and I watch it EVERY day >_> I'm trying to find some clothes so I can look like kyo from the video, well atleast a black version ._. Their Saku video is also good. Aye do you listen to the band Gazette?

hmmm yea i looked them up on youtube, and the first thing i thought of when i saw the dude with long black hair was goth, but now that you say it, they're more on the black metal side i believe

yup! dir en grey is awesome, even though i don't understand what they're sayin, when they're not growling or screaming, but hey all you have to do is look up the lyrics and translate them!

it would be fucking awesome to look like kyo, i'm on a hunt for some similar contacts!

hey the obscure video is freaking awesome and i know why it's so... obscure... because it's about abortion and, well, when singing about such thing as abortion, you wanna make the video really express what you feel about the subject, and that's what they're doing!

Of couse have heard of Dir En Grey, they are really Crazy! I like their music, seein' their videos I can agree they are goth, but Type O Negative have different music, different style

Type O is cool, and yes. I do think they are more of a black metal band. And there are some black metal bands out there that do have somewhat of a goth/gothic sound to them, and I would consider them as such. But those bands are few and far between. I would say the older Type O albums were goth/gothic, but now they're just overrated.

Too true. They used to be really good, lately it just seems like everyone and their uncle likes them. Which isn't bad, but if we're talking black metal, I like Opeth and Nile much more.[I have a few friends that are metalheads, I really like the black metal bands that they listen to.]

hmmm i wouldn't say i'm much into black metal, and i'm not a metal head either, i'm more into the doom, death and gothic kind of metal

I'm with you on that. I would prefer a black metal band over any other, but yes. I see whatcha mean. I have heard of moonspell, but frankly, I've never listened to them. But I have heard that they are good.
