Do "sovereign nations" have the right to defraud US citizens in the US?

This should be interesting. If the court decides to hear the case then it could have some pretty broad ramifications. The sovereignty thing comes up often and will do so even more as the tribes expand into other businesses and off of the tribal land itself. It isn't an easy question or answer on either side. I do disagree with the often used defense against some criminal activity (including child neglect/abuse) as "culturally appropriate." This is invoked not only in tribal issues but in other cultures as well, Hmong and Mexican as an example.

Yet the sovereign nation wants kick backs and monies from the federal government, free schooling, medical and all sorts of bonus's.
BOYCOTT the Blue Lake Rancheria! Show these FAT CATS enough is enough. |

what are these kick backs you speak of Anonymous? indians pay federal taxes just like you do. or maybe you don't. the Pacific Legal Foundation often looks to litigate against indians. people did not give a crap about indians until their "new wealth" now everyone want a piece.

Early migrants from Asia, are not all that special.
but the late refugees from europe are "special"
"All men, migrants, emigrants or refugee to the new world are created equal and are some what special in that they came here from the old world.

screw the indians who scream that 'giimme...because of........' BS
'because of' on this ever been to hoopa and see how much love and compassion there is to non tribals? oh ya. |
