This is so sad that our people are cheated working abroad. I hope the economy of VN keeps rising so that VNmese workers no longer need to work abroad.

Anti VN government on this forum often praise this country and others for their noncommunism. Is that how their democracy teach these countries treat others people. These countries have the same type of government as Ex- South VN. They are inhuman, cheating, corrupted, no maral, no dignity. I'm happy that I am smart to support VN communist party. Anti VN government freaks are just a bunch of followers who support anything that has money. These people definately don't have brain.

Dai Viet,
Don't worry about those anti-VN people in USA. More and more Vietnamese living in USA are re-thinking the whole picture of Vietnam War. I travelled oftenly to Virgnia and California, I found out a lot of Viet Kieu starting to label the anti-VN organizations as the trouble makers.
One of the businesswoman in California who owns 3 big restaurants. She returned to visit Vietnam once a year. Her husband was an ex-Saigon officer and went through re-education camp. She said after so many trips to VN, she realized those anti-VN organizations are a bunch of liars. She used to give money to the anti-VN organizations 5 years ago, but now she said she'd rather gave it directly to the charity organizations in VN.
This is her Vietnamese words for those anti-VN people: "MAY THANG CHA CHONG CONG, AN KHONG NGOI ROI, KHONG CHUYEN GI LAM, TUYEN TRUYEN LAO LEU, CO GIOI THI VE VIETNAM CHONG CONG DI?, CHAY QUA MY ROI MA CON QUAY, DE CHINH PHU VN NGUOI TA LAM VIEC"
(Those anti-Communist people are a bunch of lazy bastards, have nothing to do, spreading liar propaganda, I dare if they really want to go to VN right now to fight against Communist? Running away to America but still are troublemakers, let Vietnamese government taking care the country).
Dai Viet, I talked to many people like her.

Isn't that the responsibility solely rest on the VN goverment to take these poor workers back? No?

Well, if the VC government were to educate and train its citizens for the 21st Century, then Vietnamese would not have to go abroad to be indentured laborer!

They have to let the people start businesses in order to create jobs. Entrepreneurship is key component for domestic growth but the VC are too stupid to know that!

Remember how the VC sent Vietnamese abroad to the East bloc and USSR in order to earn hard currency? They used the hard currency in order to pay some to debts off.

The commies are still too stupid to realize and create conditions where the entrepreneurship can thrive. It will solve and create some of the problems of job creation. Typical VC dummies, they still do not trust their people to take charge of their own lives. Over a million jobs are needed to be created every year in VN so the state cannot employ these people. The only way is to let private businesses flourish in order to create these jobs.

I was the one who said that same thing about the anti-communist in USA a few years back until I went back to VN in the 2000's.

A statement likes that from a woman her husband was in the notorious VC concentration camp? I doubt it....but...:-)

Yea, sure allen! Stay in your delusional mode of reality! LOL. The struggle for Vietnam now does not need an armed struggle. It is a struggle through intellect. In this aspect, the VC are hopelessly lost! This is the INFORMATION AGE as akin to the INDUSTRIAL AGE that transformed the world. Read some history sometime it might do you some good. The information age requires the dissemination of information and knowledge. And the free flow of that information without government interference. It is a comparative advantage in a high tech era. That's why the US, Japan, S. Korea and some European countries lead the way in this development because they have a comparative advantage vis a vis other nations.

Vietnam's totalitarian state looks ridiculous in this age because it seeks to control the free flow of information. VC Vietnam will always be behind this development because of its backward political model. That's why VC Vietnam is so childishly PARANOID about any information that seeps through from the outside, free world. This type of tactic is hardly a position of strength. It is a position of weakness and insecurity because the VC know they can only rely on intimindation and terror not on the free will of its people to survive. I pity of old dummies in the Poliburo, they know nothing about the computer, cyber Information Age. The world will leave VC Vietnam in the proverbial dust!

Communism is just another name for trash in the history of man!

This blog created by allen, make people think he is one of the guy from VN or has connection with VC. May be he is may be he is not.

The 'Lilte Saigon' story is the repeated tale, allen bring it up from time to time, he recalls his conversation with one of the restaurant owner in the litle saigon town in LA.
Dan, I hope this will help.

Stories like this really break my heart, but it also reinforces my tenet of the lack of understanding what are human rights in Communist Vietnam. It can be fairly surmised that these Vietnamese contract workers have been exposed to chemical without proper safeguards. Even what may be considered rather benign chemicals in any mass quantity can eventually kill you (or shorten your life span greatly).

We would hope the Vietnamese government would protect their citizens and make sure all individuals receive their proper human rights. Please let's hope and pray they will not abandon the Malaysia contract workers like they did to ones in the then Communists Germany during the 80's. This incident does not speak highly of what the situation is like in Malaysia either.

Is there a way we could help these people or are we just going to let them die. I don't know but I hope the government of vn could help these people. In the end the government will never earn the people respect because he just kill his own people.

I HOPE HE DON'T FOLLOW THE SAME FOOT STEPT AS OTHER.

Yes some employers in Malaysia exploited foreign workers in our country. The poor worker needs protection in Malaysia. It about time a local representative in appointed or the workers themselves engaged their own agent or consultant to advise them and take appropriate action in accordance with Malaysia labour law. It is unfortunate that some of these workers ran away and become illegal workers when they have industrial disputes with their employers. They must report the wrong doing of employers. These employers are damaging the image of my country.

Hi, I’m Ken here. Currently my company is jointly-organizing a FREE concert dedicated to all Vietnamese in Malaysia. Do you guys have any idea where I can find them? Through blog, forums, newspapers, streets, or etc. Please recommend. Thanks.
