BioWare: SWTOR subscriber numbers have remained steady
BioWare claims subscriptions for the pricey Star Wars: The Old Republic haven't dropped, merely that concurrent users at peak times have declined.

That is because they are stat padding the numbers.
1.Free weekend accounts are tallied as a "subscriber"
2.Every account that has a level 50 on it has been automatically reactivated with a free month of play.
Their claim is a half truth, As what is going on right now is nothing more than a PR stunt attempting to hide the hemorrhage of subscriptions from the shareholders and EA's board of directors.
the game it self is riddled with vary poor design choices in almost ever aspect of gameplay/story and art style. It dose not have much of a hope of recovery this late into the game.
Real question is what did bioware waste the 200+ million in development money and 5+ years of time on.
