A parent who buys violent video games of any kind for their child is a moron. Things like this breed violence.

"Violent video games may be more harmful than violent television and movies because they are interactive, very engrossing and require the player to identify with the aggressor, researchers say."

The 11 year old article you cited once again does not support what you said. The first example is merely an example of correlation. Causation cannot be implied. Do violent video games cause kids to be long term violent offenders or do long term violent offenders prefer violent games. The research does not answer this question.

The second article only shows short term behaviors. Do these behaviors pervade a person's life making them a more violent person? The research doesn't address that either.

Citing this research as regarding a game where rats are killed is really a stretch. Do you have research showing that games where people kill pests somehow leads to long term aggressions towards humans? If so, please post it. Otherwise stop misrepresenting science.

I was playing Modern Warfare 3 yesterday (only new out) and only a few missions in and yet another animal killing.

I know they're not real animals but whats the point in adding these killings into the games, it does nothing for the storyline. It adds nothing to the games.

How many humans did you pretend to kill before you pretended to kill an animal in the game?
