I could not find a thread like this. I am sorry if there is one already. Anyway, should Game Freak make them? And what would you like to see in these games if they get remade. I would like the pokémon to follow you again like in HG and SS. Share your thoughts, please.

They need this!:D It would be awesome! I think re-making the Pokewalker or something like it would be unbelievably awesome, but I doubt they will. Not going to lie- after playing HG, when I went back to Pearl, at first I was all, "WHOOOOOAH, WTF, MONFERNO, Y U NO FOLLOW ME?!?!?!" I guess I just kinda got used to it. X3

MY REVIEW OF POKEMON HEARTGOLD AND SOULSILVER

Welcome to Pocket Monsters Crystal Version, Version 1.01. Game Freak decided to make some EASY money, so they recycled parts of Pocket Monsters Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and called it Pocket Monsters HeartGold and SoulSilver. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver is a remake of Pokemon Gold and Silver which was rushed for an easy cash-in. Some Gym Leaders were poorly redesigned and look like a mess as well. Some Gyms are also poorly redesigned being also impossible to reach the Gym Leader. Not only that, almost all landmarks in the game are also poorly designed and look like a mess as well. In other words, every Pokemon in HG/SS can be readily obtained from already-released GBA and DS Pokemon games. Even the Battle Frontier is a direct copy and paste from Pocket Monsters Platinum with ZERO changes!! Unlike FireRed and LeafGreen, there is NOT even a new, sizable post-game region like Nanashima. Instead, "NEW" additions are inserted here and there: Battle Frontier (a direct copy and paste from Pocket Monsters Platinum with ZERO changes--surprised!?) to Asagi City, Safari Zone to Tanba City, Pal Park (same one as D/P/Pt's--surprised!?) to Sekichikuu City. There's a new route linking Tanba City to Safari Zone, but that's about it. I guess Game Freak decided that stripped-down Kantou was enough and chose not to spend any more effort designing new areas, knowing that their rehashes would sell like hotcakes regardless. The PokeGear is still annoying, and about once every five minutes, you'll get telephone calls from some bug catcher telling you about how awesome it is to watch his cock become stronger!! Kantou is still the same old, watered-down version, with landmarks such as Silph Company, Pokemon Tower and Guren Island being partially closed off or gutted--and this time, lack of cartridge space is no longer an excuse!! Only two groups will possibly find these ports of any value:(1) folks who have never played Gold/Silver/Crystal before and (2) those who have insatiable amounts of rose-tinted "nostalgia" for the originals. For veterans of the Pokemon games, HG/SS offers nothing new or remotely interesting/revolutionary to the franchise, even for so-called "enhanced remakes." Just grab an old, cheap Japanese copy of Pokemon Crystal from eBay if you want Jouto Pokemon Versions and save yourself some cash!!

HG and SS weren't bad games, but I only played it once. So who am I to judge? They should let us catch any generation's pokémon before the League like Lillpup for example. Also I would like to see more Eevee evolutions like a dragon-type or a ghost-type. I hope they also put in the shaking grass and rippling water like in BW and B2W2.

They were lazy rehashes though. Black 2 and White 2 was a lazy rehash hastily cranked out by Game Freak for an EASY cash-in as well.

I think the reason they were so rushed, is because they are planning something BIG! And it needs time to be just right like Goldilocks would say. Plus, I haven't played B2W2 yet. I am getting it next week. Back to the topic. Do you guys think sequels or remakes will be better?

Don't waste your money on a copy-and-paste sequel!! I don't think the sequels will get better......

nah, there isn't really any need for a remake aside for the pure aesthetics and money. anything you can get in R/s, you can find somewhere withing the ds games. Plus, you could also just migrate. so there really is no need for the remake. and also , it would be a big step backwards from bw2...

Not this story again. There is also someone with this story. First of all, to migrate you'll need a DS or DSLite. Both are discontinued and are hard to get. Plus you'll also need Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold or SoulSilver. That seems like a lot of money to spend just to get some pokémon. The process is like this: 3rd-4th (migrate, ONLY EVERY 24 HOURS AND ONLY 6 POKÉMON), 4th-5th (transfer). That is not worth it. Do you see why we might need a remake or sequel?

I meant there is always someone with this story.

you can migrate as often as you want in a 24 hour period as long as you have more than one gba game. And most pokemon are obtainable between all the ds games. With wifi, there's even less of a need since people can trade with each other. And Nintendo is big on having people interact with eachother ,So.....

Isn't it Gotta Catch 'Em ALL? Pokémon is also a cashcow for Nintendo. Just imagine if Grey came out. Less money than B2W2, right? One of my friends owns all the DS games (HGSS, DPPt, BW and B2W2). She is even going to try to buy the MD and RG games. Plus not many people can obtain a DS or DSLite anymore. And will you spend the a few weeks just to migrate Pokémon or would you rather catch them all in a new 3DS game?

Fans didn't ask for a sequel to Black and White and yet they got one!! I think it felt like a FOUR month rushjob!!

We all know it was a rushjob. Getting back to the topic. One thing I am really looking forward if these games are released, is rematches against Gym Leaders and Trainers. In Emerald I did all my training on the route west of Mauville. Man! That was good times!
