<quoted text> If he had NUKES, He, and all these TIN HORN DICTATORS would use them on the U.S. Do not like nukes, then BLOCKADE his OIL SHIPMENTS, and HI-JACK the OIL TANKERS! See what prices he gets, If HE CANNOT DELIVER! You seem happy about what is going on. Perhaps when you cannot afford FOOD, ELECTRICITY, and the ECONOMY TOTALLY CRASHES, YOU WILL BE HAPPY! Did the WHINERS you speak of have any control about the OIL companies KILLING any form of alternative FUELS, or cars that run on something besides gas! What about the GREEDY Speculators DRIVING PRICES UP?? What is your solution besides ASSIGNING BLAME??

You can name call all you want, but i believe you deserve to be more informed. The opposition is very aggressive here in Venrezuela, but if Chavez gave it all away to them today, they wouldnt know what to do with this country. You are entitled to your views, but so am I, and I am here! Have a wonderful day, and thanks for sharing your opinions!

Chavez is a Russian Puppet. What else would you expect him to say? Sorry, Venezuela had a chance, but it will now become the other Cuba.

Oh, Chavez,,, this why the Republicans will win, FYI.

<quoted text> A perfect reply. You've cut through all of the b.s. that the administration has been dumping on the populace, and they've been blindly believing it. Also, oil does indeed cost $60 per barrel. All the rest of the markup is due to massive speculation. They buy it electronically and hold it off the market until the price gets as high as they want it to, then sell that quantity and reap the profits. They're buying $100,000 of oil for $8,000! Just like the speculators did prior to the stock market crash in 1929. May their unscrupulous ways come back to haunt them as the oil speculation bubble bursts and they start to panic and dump their oil onto the market. This is nothing more than EnronII.
And then the would want their republican president to bail them out

And Al Qaeda would be unfettered around the globe, stronger than ever. Oil would be at over $300 a barrel. There'd be MILLIONS starving around the world as the world economy collapsed.

I'm so glad that there are people in charge who understand so much more than you have displayed.

You obviously don't know any Venezuelans.

Just because Venezuela takes an anti-US stance doesn't mean they are right.

I am Venezuelan and my whole family live in Venezuela and you obviously don't know Venezuela. There's a lot of americans in this topic anti-US invading and killing innocent people(5,000 in iraq) if you go to Venezuela nobody is going to harm you.
CITGO Petroleum Corp., the wholly owned subsidiary of PDVSA, is currently refining up to 664.000 barrels of oil through the refineries it owns and operates in the United States.
the Venezuelan government plan, CITGO will set aside up to 10% of its refined oil products to be sold directly to organized poor communities, and institutions in the U.S. without intermediaries.
The plan calls for the sale of heating oil and gasoline to hospitals, nursing homes, schools and organized poor communities in U.S. soil.

You may be right in most cases but I disagree in this case, the dynamics here are much different. It would take about a day or two to clear him and his friends out of the power that they have manipulated their way into. They sold the people on change, and things did unfortanatly change. The joke on the street in Caracas is if 20 US marines ever stepped foot in Venezuela the army would run the other way. The army of Venezuela is, and has always been used for the bullying of their own citizens, and they are incapable of war. No Venezuelan, except of coarse Chavez believes that anyone in the Venezuelan military is stupid enough to fight against American solders and die for him. At the point of Chavez's demise, I believe the world oil market price would fall quite a bit. Also, a large vacuum for business will open up for American and Venezuelan traders.
You sound like you are describing Iraq 6 months before 9/11 in a meeting with all of the bush buddies. We seen what happens when we invade a small dictatorship. You left out the part about being greeted as liberators, oil will pay for the war.
If you lift a weapon to defend your home you are then labeled an enemy combatant and placed in a prison and tortured with no hope of being released or anyone even knowing you are there.
America is supposed to be the land of capitalism and free trade yet we try so hard to use military force when we do not have the upper hand. Fact, they have the oil, we do not. We have to find ways around that not just conquer a people to gain it.

Man, who do these pathetic African dictators think they are? They have no right to deny oil to the US.
Is this actually a joke? I mean, come on! Are you for real? The guy's the president of Venezuela! South America!

And yes, oil prices will escalate to 200 $ a barrel. Simple supply and demand issue. Google Peak Oil.

Lastly, while I do not condone and support the guy, I do have to remind you that this oil is being extracted off Venezuela, and as such it belongs to Venezuelans, to use, sell, bargain, give, etc, as THEY see fit.

Who told you, you had a say in the issue?
