When staffers at the National Venture Capital Association see a report that refers to U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney's investments as venture capital, they grimace -- and then contact the author to explain politely why it's wrong.

Robert, I know you speak English well, so don't misquote. That is for ignoramuses.
Don't you agree that nobody makes it "alone," but always gets help, training, or advice along the way?

And, Romney is no "venture capitalist."

Mr_Bill calls him a "Vulture Capitalist".
Real Venture Capitalists call what Romney does "private equity."

Know of what you speak, in both cases.

Great analogy-Vulture capitalism. Love it! What's happening within the the culture f Wall Street and companies anymore? These CEO's don't want to run a company, they want to RAID it! Also, after watching many episodes of "American Greed" on CNBC, we need some regulations pertaining to people who want to start up investment firms or companies. How many times do we see people investing their whole pensions or money in these ponzi schemers, and losing everything? We need regulations and security measures for 401K's, also. I think 401K's should be guaranteed up to a specific amount, with the FDIC. Our Gov't should look into that.

You need to stick to explaining socialism, mr bill explaining venture capitalism is like kim kardashian explaining the string theory.

Robert, you are fading fast. See the brain doc, quick.

Not being a cable tv watcher, I've actually never heard Ms Kardashian speak, although I have heard of her. Is she as smart as you?

And, I trust that you now understand that Romney is no "venture capitalst."

You are fighting windmills to make a big deal about venture capitalist getting upsent that some people in the media might confuse private equity firms with venture capital firms. Bain Capital did do some venture capital work under Romney but they are best dexcribed as an asset management or private equity company. It really annoying venture capitalist that people in the press donít understand or know the difference sometimes when they write articles. But that really has nothing to do with Romney because as far as I know he does nto go around trying to say he is strictly a venture capitalist.

Bain Capital and Romney did venture capital work so it is not inaccurate to say they are venture capitalist even if they turned to other pursuits later.

By the way that steel company in Obama's commercial did not go down the tubes until after the union went on strike at a time when American Steel companies where having a very hard time competing.

The point of it all is that Romney exported American jobs, for more profit; and that is not my idea of "experience" that prepairs him for the presidency.

I just went to staples yesterday and the people in there did not look exported to me.

Can you name a single asset management company, venture capital company or capital management company the size of Bain which does not have or had any companies who moved all or some of their jobs overseas?

You can't and neither can you name a company that Obama managed regardless of where their jobs were.

Again, being a business vulturre is NOT preparation to be president.

KILLING and Feasting on the bones of American companies preaired Romney for nothing. In my town, we had three large office supply store, that had more merchandise than Staples. They are all gone, nd the Staples in the next town sells all office supplies now. About 20 jobs were lost overall. That's business, tough on them who can't buy super-wholesale; I get that. But, I just don't get how being a business vulture or iundercutter makess one eligible tto be prsident in these tough times.

Romeny has no foreign policy experience at all, except for siphonig out US jobs. The best thing I can say is that he is smarter than Sarah Palin.
