Do you know how easy it would be to disable navigations and life support with the right phone ap? They need to send all checked bags on a separate flights, stop all carry one bags and stop serving any alcohol. The TSA has stopped countless terrorists, they need absolute control of passengers if we want to be safe.

Forget the Terrorist angle. I don't think Americans are civilized enough these days to allow these things in the cabin of a plane. Turn on the TV. We aint' what we used to be.

What could anyone do with a knife on a plane? You can stab all the passengers you want but the plane ain't crashin'

It might discourage some wanna be terrorist. Or if someone attempts to hijack the plan he'll have trouble and have to blow just the plane up, if he can smuggle the explosives.
It is the mentality of why let the criminal be the only one with weapons. Just my opinion.

I'm glad to hear they're going to loosen up restrictions on the mile high club. However, a carry-on bag full of bats at 30,000 feet is a disaster waiting to happen. Don't do it.

TSA screening is a good thing if done to all passengrs. When they allow VIP's, Government employees, etc to be exempt it makes the whole process a meaningless and worthless waste of time.
All passengers regardless of who they might be can have a reason for wanting to cause harm to an aircraft or other passengers. Just because you are Quote: "Someone special" doesn't ensure you aren't a risk.

Just because you are Quote: "Someone special" doesn't ensure you aren't a risk. Agreed. It's as stupid as profiling. The minute the terrorist figure out the TSA is profiling Arab looking men, they'll switch to women like they did in Israel with their suicide bombers. If we start profiling Arab women, they'll switch to children- as they've also done in Israel. If we start profiling children, they'll switch to cripples in wheelchairs. Etc, etc, etc. The crazies are always a step ahead of us.
