Hard to believe there is anyone like Rubio these days. He is right out of the Reagan mold and probably was the most impressive of all the Republicans that ran in 2010. I am hoping he's as good as his talk.

Van Tran, the Vietnamese guy that lost to Loretta Sanchez is also a Sarah Palin endorsed diehard "America first" Republican. Not to mentioned Susana Martinez, a Mexican descent who became governor of New Mexico. Another Republican. So you see, the conservative, "America first" Republicans are no longer the domain of White guys.

Van Tran got the us vs them card played on him, as did Joesph Cao. Another race that I watched was Star Parker who did a real suicide run in California's 37th. She got clobbered but she gets points for a sincere try in an almost impossible for a Republican to win seat. . Congratulations to all 3 for running. . The thing is, all four mentioned (plus others) must have given the Democrats ulcers, minorities are just not supposed to be Republican, why, it's just not done.

She said "America is rife with opportunities, a free country, anybody can rise." I see what you mean.

It was a simple inexpensive idea where many well known and not so well known minority members announce they're a Republican. The tape could have been easily put on YouTube. A follow up could have been why they are Republican. . 12 months later I am still waiting for a response. My attempts to discuss this with the RNC in Washington, DC showed what an ad hoc affair the RNC is as half the voice mails were full and the other half of the staff wasn't around.

Looks like Sarah Palin did the job they couldn't do. She highlighted the fact that minorities and women can become and many, many are conservative, "America first" Republicans. The candidates are eminently electable.

Make no mistake about it, the comments from the Progressives about the Republican Party being a party of old white men had no other purpose then to demean and minimize the conservative movement. If you will note how Democrats have demeaned, insulted black Republicans, it seems the diversity types really didn't like diversity after all. I see no reason that in the near future other ethnic groups in the Republican Party won't get the same treatment. . Not all clans and tribalism are found in the back woods of West Virginia. Many are found in Progressive political circles and American Universities.

True. 94% of Whites voted for Nikki Haley in the deep South. A very powerful message.

With Jindal in Lousiana , Haley in South Carolina( both racist Red neck states ,according to most liberal Democrats) and Martinez in New Mexico, theRepublicans have at least 3 minority governors. Do the Democrats have any. I know they had an Afro american that was appointed governor of New york but they had a White guy replace him.

I liked her anyway. . On the other hand, if a Republican blasted the Cap and Trade bill with a rifle, what do you think the NY Times would have said?

Obama's buddy Patrick Deval of Massachusetts is black and just won relection for governor. It appears he has done nothing great for the state nor has he done any major damage. As long as he repeats the proper platitudes he will be supported by the hard core left wingers/blame Romney crowd that surround Boston.

She is just a regular American who happens to be of Indian blood. She converted to evagelical Christianity and is married to a white guy. Except for her look, what is Indian about her?

What is the big deal about Nikki Haley and Bobby Jindal becoming governors? There are thousands of Desi Governors, Ministers, Senators and Representatives in South Asia. What is the big deal about Barack Obama becoming a President? There are thousands of Black Presidents, Governors, Ministers, Senators and Representatives in Africa.
