Its not about 'bringing guns to (some place special)'. Its about *not* having to relinquish constitutional and ingrained rights to bear arms and to self defense in any special 'crime spree zone' just because it gives some naive people there the illusion that they're somehow safer as a result.

If recent history shows anything, its that those content to not obey laws will break laws, no matter how many or which kind get passed in support of illusions held by the naive.

Iíve seldom seen people carrying guns larger than they are. Iím at ranges and gun stores frequently. Most of my friends own guns. Iím exposed to firearms daily.

When was the last time youíve actually seen someone carry a gun larger than they are?

There was an American ex pat who was raided by the law in Lincolnshire UK and the Police found his illegal collection if handguns, as they were removing them thus grown man cried like a baby, thus same bloke had been marching on our Veterans day parades claiming to be a recipient of your medal of honour, turns out he was lying and had bought the medal off the Internet. All nations have loons like this, it's not just America, but it's your hard on for guns I don't get.

"...it's your hard on for guns I don't get..."

Not surprised...it's to maintain the ability to throw off the yoke of oppression of a tyrannical gov't...like we did the first time.

You think it's weird for small people to want to have the power of a big gun to protect themselves ? That's weird. It's also weird for you to try and shame me (an adult) because I'm a gun owner.

You are obviously a weirdo.

Since you put it like that, it does make sense, I suppose. And if I lived in Chicago or Detroit I'd want a tank

What do YOU have against 'little men?'
Little men have the VERY SAME RIGHTS as 'big men.'
So, little men keep, and bear arms, against both BIG and other 'little men.'
Why should ANY of us be REQUIRED to exert any physical effort in the defense of ourselves??
Are the weak, and the infirm, to be required to engage in physical combat with those far faster, stronger, and more able?
Why should that ever be?
And WHO ARE YOU to determine what it is that person might resort when defending herself? Since when did YOU become any kind of AUTHORITY on the matter?

No, you wouldn't.
Rather, you'd simply want to keep, and bear personal arms for your self-defense.
