Who said it wasn't a medical condition? Not I.
It's not a sign of dysfunction for a female to become pregnant. Women who take BC acknowledge this-why do you work do hard to deny it?
It is a dysfunction, it is not her normal state. Where have I denied it? We had this little talk. People take medication to avoid medical conditions. Why should pregnancy being a medical condition be treated differently due to misogynistic religious beliefs?

Here is a post I made to you:

BC falls under "preventative". Believe it or not Dan...pregnancy is a "medical condition" that women wish to avoid periodically and sometimes always. BC saves the tax payers money and is a MAJOR life improvement for them. Trust me Dan...I took BC.....LOVED IT!!!

Late-Term Abortion Death in Maryland: Time for Maryland to take action against late-term abortions
by Anna Higgins
Feb. 8, 2013

Senior Fellow Peter Sprigg represented FRC today at a Maryland Coalition for Life (MDCFL) press conference in Germantown, Maryland where it was announced that a 29 year-old woman was pronounced dead at a Germantown hospital as a direct result of complications from a 3rd trimester abortion.

The abortion was performed by Dr. LeRoy Carhart. Carhart, former associate of late-term abortionist George Tiller, was recently hailed a “hero” in the film “After Tiller” at the Sundance Film Festival. Carhart was the abortionist who performed a late-term abortion on a young woman with Downs Syndrome who died following complications from that abortion in 2005 at Women’s Heath Care Services in Wichita, KS.

The young woman who died Thursday was approximately 33 weeks pregnant and came to see Carhart for an abortion procedure that lasted four days and ended in her death from apparent blood loss and shock, according to MDCFL.

Another botched abortion at an Elkton, Maryland resulted in a woman suffering from a ruptured uterus and the discovery of three dozen late-term aborted fetuses in the clinic freezer. This led Maryland, one of the most abortion-friendly states in the country, to quietly enact stricter abortion facility regulations in July, 2012. Those regulations require licensure of facilities and basically mirror regulations that govern outpatient surgical facilities.

I saw the report on this linking Carhart to the fatality by abortion opponents, but nothing official from the independent press.

Do you have a link from one of the wire services?

How on Earth would the anti-abortion group be privy to the details prior to the press?

"Abortion opponents said the woman had an abortion at the Germantown clinic of Dr. LeRoy Carhart, who is from Bellevue, Neb.".

How do they know this?

Neither the woman's family nor the ME have made corroborating statements.

Hey Dan, you can "google" as well as I can. last post...i am sure there will be more....

quote:

"A 29-year-old woman died as a result of complications from a late-term abortion in Germantown, Maryland Thursday.

The woman was under the medical care of Dr. LeRoy Carhart who has been connected to previous deaths including the 2005 death of Christin Gilbert in Wichita, Kansas.

The woman, whose name is being withheld, reportedly had been spotted entering Carhart’s clinic looking “pale and weak.” Thursday morning her family transported her to a nearby hospital suffering from chest pain and other issues after repeated unsuccessful attempts to reach Dr. Carhart or the clinic. She was suffering from massive internal bleeding and died around 9:30 Thursday morning due to the injuries.

The woman had traveled from out of state to obtain the third-trimester abortion.

“It is so tragic that this family had to lose not only their nearly full-term child, but also their wife, daughter, and sister,” said Michael Martelli, Executive Director of the Maryland Coalition for Life.“What is most appalling is that the State of Maryland refused to hear the pleas of this community, and has allowed this man to continue to butcher women and children.”

On the same day that the woman died because of the abortion performed by Dr. Carhart, the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene posted on their website a license issued to Carhart’s clinic to perform abortions without even conducting a single inspection of the facility." end quote

Yes, I have had one. Yes, I regret.

I regret not having health insurance.
I regret getting involved with a man, using the term loosely, that had no interest in our child.
I regret not having savings in the bank to carry me through should my medical problems have caused me to be on bed rest and not able to work.

You people speak of regret. Imaging watching your child die because you cannot get medical care. That is a fate worse than death. Believe me.

I think all you people that have nothing better to do than judge us should start paying for the medical bills of woman that can't afford them and start adopting the children. That is what you should do.

Yep!

Me too! The only thing I regret was that an unwanted pregnancy took place in my 40's! I do not regret my decision and am glad I had the right to determine my health and best interests without interference from some unknown do gooder who needed a way to pat themselves on the back..

I've been very lucky that I've never had an unwanted pregnancy, and I know many other women have not been as fortunate.

If you or anyone else is interested in reading stories from other women who were relieved that the option of abortion was available to them, check out this site:

You're very welcome, Morgana, I like sharing.:-)

It's very much like the http://www.imnotsorry.net site. I think it's good for women to have more than one site which features positive stories from women who were relieved to have the option of abortion available to them.

In addition, I like reminding the anti-choice regressives that there are women who DON'T regret having an abortion. It ticks them off to no end.:-)

Did any of you listen to the story of what happened with these two women on this video? The one totally , for many years, did not regret her choice and used abortion as her birth control. She had 8 abortions total.

Another lady changed her mind at the last moment and was held down until the anisthetic took hold and the procedure performed.

Yet another was given too much anisthetic , by someone incapable of doing so and was "allowed" to die because her vitals were not monitored.

This is the true "war on women".

Pregnancy is a result of choices made. The innocents have no choice in this. You have free will to choose to have an abortion or not (legal or not)..and from what I have seen above...making it legal is not protecting women only making it easier for them to become victims of this evil. You have free will to choose whether you want to risk becoming pregnant or not. You have free will to choose whether you want to use contraceptives or not.

This "choice" is no different than for someone who is married and "chooses" to have an affair. there are always consequences for our actions and decisions.

People frequently fall back on "don't judge". Seek to understand the difference between "judging" and "judgements". We are to make judgements according to the 10 commandments.

That commandment "thou shalt not kill" does not say...thou shalt not kill men, or thou shalt not kill women...it doesn't say thou shalt not kill the elderly, or the innocent...it says "thou shalt not kill". Period. The 10 commandments are not the 10 suggestions or the 10 preferances according to our "opinion".

None of us can say you will go to Hell for what you are doing. That is totally up to God and where you stand with Him at the time you leave this world. I can tell you that killing anyone is a sin (according to His 10 commandments) and from there it is between you and Him. It will be what you choose.

I know it is likely easier to be duped into thinking that we pro-life people hate people who have abortions. but we don't. It is easier to think we hate you because it gives you a reason to hate us. Don't hate us...understand that we love you, but hate your sin. We hate your sin out of love for you.

We are living in a country where you have a right to choose. But that life within you should have a right to choose as well. We also love that child.

Why is it that there are abortion "clinics"?

Why doesn't your regular doctor perform that abortion? or any surgeon or OB perform that abortion? I realize there are specialists in many fields and some may look at abortion as a specialty. But view the video above and see that he was using "receptionists" as "antithesiologists" and in some instances they even performed the abortions. It doesn't take a "specialist" to kill a baby as this doctor demonstrated.

Perhaps your normal reputable doctor (whom you know on a regular basis) has a problem with killing the innocent ( or treating you in this manner) and so it is relegated to these "clinics". This doctor had not had an inspection of his facilites for 18 to 20 years.

He is not a singular case.

Like so many things in life, the Boston bombings, the Columbine shootings etc. if it doesn't happen to us personally....why worry about it.

Because we are our to be our brothers keepers. We are to love our brethern and do unto others as we would have done to us.

So instead, your solution is that some matter and some don't?

So instead you should be able to force your opinion on the unborn that they are not to be born?

Just as if you put your hand into a fire..you are likely to get burnt..so hopefully you are smart enough to avoid the fire...so it is with pregnancy. You have a choice not to put your hand into that fire.

That baby has no choice.

Oh geez. Are you really so uninformed that you don't know that ALL forms of contraception can and DO fail sometimes? Do you really not know that NO contraceptive method is 100% guaranteed against unwanted pregnancy?

The fact remains that EACH woman gets to decide for HERSELF whether to reproduce or not, even when a pregnancy has happened. Obviously, prevention of unwanted pregnancy is better, I don't think any rational person disputes that. However, when the BC fails and a pregnancy results, the ONLY person who decides whether to continue the pregnancy or not is the WOMAN who is pregnant. Whatever decision she makes, it is HER decision and hers alone.

A woman has the same right NOT to have children as she does to become a mother.
