No offense to the Minority Leader of the Alaskan Senate, Hollis French, a Democrat, but politicians across the county, regardless of party or position, have recognized the inevitability of same sex marriage for a long time now.

It's great that he finally saw the light, but the bulb has been burning brightly for years now.

Whenever I hear of Alaska, I remember making igloos out of sugar cubes in 2nd grade. LOL

( I wonder if they fly Gay Pride Flags on the tops of their igloos in Alaska.)

Alaska is so far behind the times...that they still refer to gays as homosexuals.

The truth being " gay" , which in past centuries described prostitutes , procurers , etc . is a ridiculous term for homosexuals and does us no favor . A retard giggling idiotically ( while drooling ) comes to mind .

Actually, you're correct, at least in part. According to Merriam-Webster and other dictionaries, the term "homosexual" is officially an adjective and not a noun. But then again, the same is true of the word "gay".

So just as you wouldn't call someone "a happy" or "an intelligent", you technically can't refer to them as "a homosexual", "a gay", or "a heterosexual".

Thanks for bringing up the point.

Well, I can understand a gay being anal about stuff.
But I stand corrected.

I consider myself more politically aware than the average person. I remember when he picked her and I had to look up who she was because I had never heard of her before.

And my first reaction was also "WHAT THE HECK WAS HE THINKING ?!"

The first rule in picking someone for veep candidate is: "DO NO HARM !" He blew that right away.

But I said you were correct.

Try to stop being so vaginal and learn to accept a compliment when one is offered to you.

While I agree that the word "gay" is an adjective, I've always heard and seen the word "homosexual" as a noun almost always, and rarely used as an adjective. And I always use the word "gay", and not "homosexual".

dictionary.com lists it as both a noun and an adjective

merriam-webster.com also lists it as both a noun and an adjective.

In the U.S. it comes from the Dutch maritime slang.

The American Heritage Dictionary notes a "usage problem" when the term "homosexual" is employed as a noun, and if you'll do a Google search of the term, you'll find other admonitions against such usage..

I remember you criticizing my avatar when I first started using it. I'd like to point out that yours is the nastiest, ugliest, and most grotesque piece of garbage I've ever seen. It looks as though it came from a junior high school production of "Silence of the Lambs".

May we go back to our policy of ignoring each other? It seems a shame to cancel an agreement that was working out so well.

Recent polling shows 51% support or marriage equality in the 33 states which still have bans.

The only region of the with less that 50% support is (not surprisingly) the deep southern confederacy, but even there it's split equally at 46% for & 46% opposed.

Inevitable or not, the antigay in the GOP will fight this to the death.

I love it when queers fight. The gays like to present themselves as a unified group, whose greatest source of abuse is from heterosexuals. Yet statistics show that most abuse inflicted upon homosexuals comes from other homosexuals.

What a stupid post.

First of all, I'm not sure why people disagreeing with one another is a source of sexual gratification for you, but whatever floats your boat ...

Secondly, we *are* unified ... against the likes of you. But no one ever said that individuals joined in solidarity against a common enemy always agree.

And finally, about those "statistics" you keep pulling out of your arse ... put them in the toilet where they belong, flush twice, and wash your hands before you eat.
