Is the boy's father the Rev. Paul Stoot Sr. from Everett, WA? The boy has the same name with II at the end and minus the Rev. Both the articles about Paul Stoot II and the Rev. Paul Stoot Sr. are in the Everett WA Topix forum board. It's in the same town. How can they put a minor's name out there like that? He's not even convicted yet right? That's messed up! What happened to the confidentiality of juvenile cases?

Here's the article about Sr.:

If this is Rev. Paul Stoot Sr.'s son they are talking about then isn't the boy African-American? Could there be racial discrimination/profiling going on here?

Why couldn't the boy's parents be present? Why was he not given a lawyer? It sounds to me like he was coerced and intimidated into admiting to something he may not have done. If you are questioned for 2 hours and give the same answer that you didn't do it eventually some just tell the cop what they want to hear because they want to just get it over with whether they did it or not.

Our government should protect the civil and constitutional rights of children.

I know both of these men personally. The father is Rev Paul A Stoot, and the son....who is now 21 years old is Minister Paul A. Stoot II
