G-20 police planning a puzzle for Pittsburgh chief

There are 6 comments on the Police Marksman story from Aug 1, 2009, titled G-20 police planning a puzzle for Pittsburgh chief. In it, Police Marksman reports that:

Security planning for the Group of 20 economic summit in Pittsburgh is a numbers game driven by questions that can't readily be answered: How many police officers will be needed for thousands of protesters and how many arrests can be safely and fairly processed in courts? Police Chief Nate Harper asked 100 U.S. police departments for manpower ...

Puzzle? I'll bet Nate would just as not host this show. Their performance will be judged, they have a lot of time to prepare and they all know what they've let the city in for. Remember boys and girls, when this id over all 'dem feds are going back home and you'll be left to do the 'splainin'.

It'll be interesting to see how these tried and true Dems treat "human rights' and the Constitution when it all comes home.

One thing we can be ABSOLUTELY sure of... it will be far, far better than the tried and true Republican Regime of the recent Dubya Bush Debacle, both foriegn and domestic! Conservative right wing-nuts really shouldn't try to call Democrats on human rights issues; the comparison will not leave the Republicans in a good light.

I'm talking about Pittsburgh and the G20,(theme of this thread)- Gonna' be hard to compare the Dems to anybody in Pittsburgh, there hasn't been a Republican pol in the city in 80 years.

By the way, have any of those Democrats noticed that Bush is no longer the president, from the constant bashing, it makes one wonder.

Excuse me, but you said: "It'll be interesting to see how these tried and true Dems treat "human rights' and the Constitution when it all comes home." Party ideology is fair game when you raise party as an issue, old man.

As for Da' Dubya and the Bush Debacle, it's going to take a helluva lot longer than six months for the world economic disaster he spawned to repair itself. And given most of the conservative right wing-nuts still want to blame the whole thing on Clinton, that's a particularly stunningly and self-serving charge, for pity's sake!

And welcome back, btw!
