Do you really believe that no one in the police department has relatives from South of the border? Come on, GET REAL.<quoted text>
The Police Dept more than 900 strong is a FAMILY!!! if your loved one is killed by a drunk you would have not only your immediate family holding a vigil but all of your relatives from South of the border would be there too not to mention everyone who ever went to the same school or worked on the same street. Most of them would be holding a beer in one hand and a candle in the other and you would all be blocking traffic to demand "your respect".
If so many of the El Pasoans were not involved in crime of some sort they would not get their panties in a twist when they think the cops are ripping them off and THINK is the key word. The officers were off duty........NO PAY!!! and it is their business if they gather for their FAMILY MEMBER.
YOU should have been there too, because now a drunk in a Mercedes has left this city one short of the people who protect you from the same fate.
If it kills your gut to see a POLICE OFFICER honored then move back to wherever you came from but until you do that just SHUT UP!!!!!!!

Where were the cops on the medical examiner issue? Over 1000 members and their families utterly silent on that issue. No warrants, no complaints filed, no protests at Commissioner's Court, no letters to the editor. Oh where, oh where were the cops and their pro-law enforcement families on the lying, perjurious medical examiner?
At the mall earning OT in uniform, like the other poster so eloquently stated.
#85 Oct 21, 2010
Good point! I never thought of that. Yeah, were was the police on the medical examiner who lied in court. What happened there? How come the police didn't arrest him for lying under oath?
Theresa Caballero alone led that charge.

Come to the mall tonight if your man enough
I'm sure you'll stay home instead and hide behind your keyboard.
We can have a good conversation.

Who you talking to jotillo?

Mr. Spotlight DA isn't up to the job.
Policeman with multiple arrests of being
under the influence. If your usually caught
once that means usually you have gotten
away with it a minimum of 50 times. How
many times have your buddies let you go...
Then again? hmmm...
The other an offense of a violent nature
of Not able to control your actions. As
a police person this is something which
should Not happen. Anger management is needed
Escaping to an alcoholic state and who knows
Then Mr. Spotlight DA fails again with another
high profile case with Marmelejo.
Then the corruption cases inside the government
of our county. This could Not be trusted with
local law enforcement where the Feds had to be
brought in. Sad the FBI had to investigate what
we should be doing in house.
The family fight of top police officials a few
years ago where only a slap on the wrist occurred.
Something more went on and as a member of the public. This Needs to be Answered Still.
List could go...

Caballero is still a nut case with a huge AX to grind and everyone in this city knows it. The couple of posts supporting her here are writen by her relatives. You fool no one. We have seen her in action over and over again.

First of all, back in the 70's policing was as unethical as one gets. I joined the EPPD while most of you "70's" officers had your 15 years or more on. The things you boys did were illegal and unethical to name a few and the department was by far more a "boys club" than it is now. The Department didn't clean up immediately, it swept it under the rug... There was very little discipline and a lot of secrets. How dare you come on with your high and mighty, better than thou statements about the current Department. Yes, it is true, all bunches have a bad one, much like ATF, CUSTOMS, and ALL FEDERAL AGENCIES. The VAST MAJORITY of the men and women on the streets are honest, dedicated, and very hard working. Therefore, take your crappy ass attitude, and your "FEDERAL HIGH and MIGHTY" to another place. Being retired, had I known of the accident I too would have been there to show my support. How dare you... Thank GOD you're retired! Because you, just by your written attitude have NO PLACE among the honorable! Unlike a federal moron, the guys who were at the scene that night didn't and don't give a monkey's butt about overtime. You want to talk about a waste of money... let's see you claim Secret Service and ATF... OH BABY... LET'S TALK ABOUT THOSE BANK ROLLS....
#91 Oct 23, 2010
But the guilty and those who have something to hide talk the most crap there buddy. My experience with the EPPD is just the opposite of your opinion, the VAST MINORITY are honest, and their numbers are dwindling fast. Your post shows the attitude of most of EPPD and its scary. I'm glad you're retired because we have more than enough idiots on the force now. The truth hurts, doesn't it?
#92 Oct 24, 2010
No, you are probably someone who has been in trouble more than once and has been caught. I have no regrets, no problems and served with a clean record. If you think you can do it better than we do... THAN GET OUT THERE AND DO IT! Otherwise, stick to whatever it is you think you know how to do. The VAST MAJORITY... ARE HONEST... If you don't think so.. don't call when you need help. Call one of your fed buddies and see just how far you get.

I am a retired teacher and doing what I do best, enjoying myself. I did get a speeding ticket back in 1979, other than that have never been in trouble. But with your guilty until proven innocent views you are just proving my point about the EPPD. Your biased opinions don't allow you to see or accept the truth, its not the majority that are honest just the opposite. If you did manage to retire with a squeaky clean record then good for you, but my guess is you're not telling us everything.
#94 Oct 24, 2010
Well yes I am....
But I have to give you credit... and my hat is off to you... anyone who is/ was a teacher... THERE IS A PLACE IN HEAVEN for you!
I promise you... the EPPD guys and gals are very honest... you have a super staff out there. There are problems everywhere...
To single out all cops is like saying all teachers are child preditors based on the most recent cases.(We've seen how many in El Paso popped in the last few months?) Of course we know that is not the truth. But if I were on your level... or my perception of your level I could fire back with "all teachers are child preditors." I believe MOST teachers are dedicated, hard working, and UNDER PAID!!! I can see the road, not just the turn. I wish you would expand your horizans. Go to the Citizens Academy and spend a little time with the men and women in blue. I promise you, you will gain a new perspective.
Again, thank you for your dedication to America's youth.... Just as in policing, well worth our time and efforts.

Where were the cops on the issue of the lying in court medical examiner? It is a fact that Paul Shrode lied in court about his credentials. Where were the police and their families on this issue? Only Theresa Caballero stood up against him. Where was THE ENTIRE POLICE FORCE!?
They were silent and hiding and didn't care. Why? Because they are worthless and their so called "pro-law-enforecement families" don't care unless they are drawing a pay check. Answer you pigs. Answer why you were silent on the lying medical examiner.
#96 Oct 24, 2010
YOU ARE AN IDIOT WITH AN AX TO GRIND... NUFF SAID.
#97 Oct 25, 2010
I Love Caballero because I am a Lesbo also!!
I hate the Police because I secretly wish I could be one but Im to stupid!!
Who gives a shit about the Medical Examiner , but that's all I have!!
I'm an Idiot !!
#98 Oct 26, 2010
Sorry but i have to agree with this so called idiot you are calling. I hope for your sake you are right and that the off duty officers don't get payed for being nosey.

When a teacher breaks the law, i.e. pedophilia, vs. when a cops breaks the law, here are the differences and this iswhy thepopulation does not hold teachers repsonsible for the few they way the community holds cops repsonsible for the many/or is it the few...we don't know because:
accused Teacher gets his name and picture in the paper and on-line.
Accused cop dos not get his picture released.
Teacher is indicted. Cop is not indicted.
Teacher gets fired. Cop does not get fired.
Teacher is prosecuted in court. Cop gets a pass.
See how this works?
#100 Oct 26, 2010
So what you are saying ?
It's O K for Teachers to be Perverts ?
We should not prosecute the Perverts who choose to be Teachers ?
We should give them a pass ?
#101 Oct 26, 2010
WoW, amazing that you didn't get message. He wasn't saying that teachers who are abusing our kids should get away with it, just the opposite. He was trying to show that the cops are treated differently and in doing so cause suspicion on all them. Have you seen the photos of the "wedding thief" yet?
#102 Oct 27, 2010
Theresa Caballero gave a very interesting interview on kfotv day before yesterday. She raises valid points about the police investigating themselves. I don't think they should. That's why the bad cops never pay.
